Christmas Sled - Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios

 I have a new Christmas card to share with you all today.  I've used the 'Christmas Sled' digital stamp by Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios - please read on for all the how-to details.

For this card I first created a slimline panel 8.5 x 3.5 inches after printing the digital image on the cardstock.   I offset the cut so that I could fit in the oversized sentiment.   I then used Copic markers in E0000, E000 and E00 together with W0, W1 and W2 to create the snow-blown background..

I used the following Copic markers to colour the featured image.  Y26, YR23, YR24, YR27 and E37 together with W3, W4, W5 and W7.   Skin tones are E000, E21, E11 and E04.  Cheeks are R00, R20 and R21 and I highlighted a few points with a white gel pen.

I framed out the scene using Hello Bluebird Stamp's 'Gallery Frame #5 die, apply this die cut with foam tape behind for some nice dimension.  I also used Hello Bluebird's 'Oh What Fun' word die for the oversized sentiment.  I die cut the sentiment three times from white cardstock and once with glittering gold cardstock.  I adhered each layer together finishing with the gold on top which I ever so slightly offset to the right for a little bit of a shadow effect.  The sentiments were then glued to the scene.

Finally I used a stylus and Dr. Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White paint and dotted in the snowfall making sure that I nicked some lines so that it looks more realistic.   I used some star sequins from my stash that toned nicely but didn't compete with the background as final accents.

Halloween Moon - Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studio

Hello,   I have a fun infinity shaker Halloween card for you today using the digital stamp image called Halloween Moon by Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studio.   This is a digital stamp, so you just click and buy, it is delivered to your email address virtually immediately and you can then proceed to print the image using your home printer and immediately have some creative fun with it!

To create this card I first ink blended an A2 panel of white cardstock using Distress Oxides.  I slid this panel sideways into a stamp storage pocket for a really nice snug fit.   I popped open the end by squeezing the edges of the cardstock carefully and tipped in a variety of shaker filler contents in a blend that suited my planned colours for the entire card.  Once I was satisfied with the mix and the degree of fill, I wrapped the excess of the stamp pocket around the back of the panel and securely adhered it down using my tape runner.   I then applied that to a cardstock base.   Everything else happens on the outside of the pocket!

I printed my Halloween Moon image on Copic friendly cardstock and then trimmed down the image using some fussy cutting.  I coloured the image using my Copic markers, here's my colour palette:-

Witch Costume - W9, W7, W4, W3, V01, V12, V15

Hair - E000, E42, E43, E44, E51

Pumpkin Bag - YR82,  E93, E95

Bear - E43, E42, E41, W5, W3

Moon -  RV000, RV10, RV02

Ground - RV000, RV10, W2, W1

I then adhered the image to the top of the pocket using my tape runner again.

Finally for the giant sentiment I die cut the Boo To You Word Die from Hello Bluebird Stamps from black cardstock and applied in the same way.

Try and make an infinity shaker if you never have before.  These are by far the best and the easiest of shaker cards, the contents move about freely and don't stick to anything.

Halloween Dress Up - Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios

I have a new card for Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios today using the 'Halloween Dress Up' digital stamp image.    I downloaded the digital image and sent it to my home printer after reducing the image from 100% down to 90%.  I printed it twice at that size, first copy on to Copic friendly cardstock, second copy on to a sheet of masking paper. 

I trimmed the Copic cardstock printed panel down to an A2 panel and Copic coloured the image using the following colour palette:-

Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00

Cheeks - R00, R20

Costume (left) - E43, E44, R000

Costume (centre) - YR31, Y17, Y38, YR14

Costume (right) - V01, V12, V15, V04, YG95, YG93, YG91

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen.

I fussy cut the masking paper print out and layered it over the primary image and then ink blended using Distress Oxide Ink and then splattered water and coloured paints to soften up the look and add interest.   I carefully removed the mask.

To finish up the card I first applied the panel to a card base.  Next, I die cut the Gallery Frame #4 die by Hello Bluebird Stamps from white cardstock and backed that with foam tape and applied it.    I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink on to black cardstock and heat embossed in white.  Last but not least a few sparkling clear sequins add a little fun.

Halloween Costumes - Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios

I have an adorable new Halloween card for you today featuring the digital stamp image called Halloween Costumes by Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios.     I downloaded the image and printed it on my home printer on to Copic friendly cardstock.   This panel was die cut to give the faux stitched edge and finish it at a size slightly smaller than A2.

I had fun colouring this perfectly gorgeous image using my Copic markers.  Here's my colour palette:-

Witches Hat - W9, W7, W4

Bunny - E51, W4, W5, R000

Bear - E44, E43, E42, E40

Pumpkin Costume - E01, YR00, YR61, W3

Squirrel Ghost - W7, W5

Ghost Costume -  B0000, B000

Cheeks -  R00, R20, R21

Ground - BG70, W1

As you can see I transferred a little of the orange hues on to the bunny as well as some of the blues so that it took the eye around the gathering of friends.  I then highlighted a few points using a white gel pen.   I adhered the panel to an A2 black panel of cardstock to frame it out nicely and in turn this was applied to a card base.

To create the sentiment I first used the Charlie Alpha Die by Hello Bluebird Stamps and I die cut the letters BOO three times.  Once from white cardstock and twice from black.   I glued these letters together in stacks and slightly offset the top white layer in order to get a dimensional shadow affect.   These letters were glued into position.   Underneath to finish the sentiment I stamped 'be very afraid' using Versamark Ink and heat embossed in white which nicely pops on black cardstock.  This strip was applied with foam tape for some dimension.

I can rarely resist the temptation to add some sparkle and so I glued just 4, four point star embellishments so that the card remained really quite CAS (clean and simple).  Hope you love this sweet image as much as I do!

Swan Fairy - Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios

Well hello there!   Thank you for visiting my blog to read about my new card for Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios featuring the beautiful new digital stamp image called Swan Fairy.

To create the card I received my digital stamp in an email and I chose to print the no-line colouring version.   Just send it to print on your home printer on the cardstock of your choice and and then get to work colouring.   I was going to Copic coloured mine so I put some Copic friendly cardstock in my printer first.

I coloured the beautiful image using the following Copic markers:-

Swan - W5, W4, W3, W2, W1, W000, Y04, Y38, Y17

Feather/leaves - B00, BG00, BV00, V20, RV52, RV42, R20, Y17, YR31, YG03, YG01, E00

Water - B00, BG000, BG70

Girl - E11, E21, E00 Hair - E50, E42, Dress Y17, Y06

I cut down the panel to just smaller than A2, applied it backed with craft foam to a toning pale blue panel then popped it in my Misti and stamped the sentiment from Sparkles Script by Hello Bluebird Stamps.

I mounted the panel to my card base then added tiny amounts of glue casually to the water swirls and feather/leaves then sprinkled over Stampendous Multi Crystal Glitter Mix, tapped off the excess and my card was complete.    Glitter makes everything better right?

Garden Friends Scene Creator - Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios

Hello friends, a new card for Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios today featuring the new 'Scene Creator' digital stamp set called Garden Friends.   Buy this digital stamp set and use is with flexibility to create numerous layouts and designs.

I received the digital stamp set to my email and I opened the link and sent the stamp set to print to my home printer.  I'd loaded my printer with Copic friendly cardstock since that was going to be my colouring method.

I coloured the images with the following colours:-

Bear - E44, E43, E42, E41

Bunny - T5, T4, T3, T2, T1, T0

Hedgehog - E44, E43, E42 Face E40 and R0000

Cheeks - R00, R20, R21

Blues - B12, B41

Sun - Y17, Y15, Y06, Y02

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen as well as the white prickles on the hedgehog.    I fussy cut the images.

To create my background I first ink blended an A2 panel using Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade and Spun Sugar.  I then die cut the cloud layer and grass area using MFT's Stitched Rolling Clouds Die-namics.  The grass portion was ink blended using Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn then spritzed with a little water that I blotted up.  These pieces were applied to the background with foam tape.

Finally, I die cut a pink cardstock frame and applied it to the panel and then backed my characters with foam tape and applied.    There are several sentiments in the Scene Creator set and I chose the one I did, cutting down to sentiment size and applying it.

Rachelle Anne Miller Digital Stamps - Hot Air Balloon

Today, the brand new Rachelle Anne Miller June release goes live and my card features one of the beautiful new digital images called  Hot Air Balloon that you might like to treat yourself to!

This is a square card with finished dimensions of 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches.    I created a panel of Sno-Cone cardstock by MFT Stamps to these full dimensions and adhered it to my card base.

I downloaded the digital stamp image from the email I received it in and sent it to my home printer to print on to a panel of Copic friendly cardstock.   I trimmed down this panel using my paper cutter so that it would reveal the blue border.   I am often asked if Copics make the printer ink run and my personal experience is that they don't!

I used a cloud stencil in my stash and Distress Oxide Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar and Speckled Egg and created the pastel coloured sky around the hot air balloon.

I coloured the images using Copic markers and highlighted a few points with a white gel pen.

I used Versamark Ink to stamp the sentiment to a strip of cardstock and I heat embossed using Wow Embossing Powder in Metalline First Frost.   This strip was applied to the card backed with dimensional foam tape.  I loved the simplicity of this pretty scene and decided not further embellishments were required.

Sweet Celebration - MFT Stamps

I'm back today with a new card featuring the illustrations of MFT's newest illustrator Rachelle Anne Miller.   Rachelle's second collection for MFT will be going live on the 15th February and this stamp image called Sweet Celebration will be part of that new release.   You will be able to find it on THIS page once the release is live.  As a member of Rachelle's digital stamps design team I'm helping to promote her new line with MFT.   Here is where you can find Rachelle's digital stamps.

To create this card I first used the MFT Mini Cloud Edges stencil to ink blend the sky, applying the ink more noticeably in the centre and fading out towards the edges so there is a soft edge.  Over this I layered two die cuts that were formed using Avery Elle's Pierced Cloud Die.   I stamped the sentiment and then these die cuts were applied with dimensional foam tape.

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped the adorable Sweet Celebration image using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.  I coloured the image with Copic markers and then die cut using the coordinating die.   This too was backed with foam tape and applied to the background.

I finished out the card simply with a few sparkling clear sequins.

Girl Whale - Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios

I'm back today with TWO very different cards for Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios - these cards were created with Rachelle's beautiful digital stamps and today's image is called Girl Whale.  Purchase the image, it arrives by email shortly afterwards, print it off on your home printer on the cardstock of your choice and get creating!   My first card embraces my favoured pastels.

As I said above I printed the image provided to me on Copic friendly cardstock.   I carefully selected some soft pastel Copic markers to colour the image but went with a strong pop of orange for the girl's dress so that she stood out.

To finish out the card I first die cut a white frame and then a smaller toning aqua frame which I layered on top.  The whole frame was backed with foam tape and applied to the feature panel.   The panel was glued to a sturdy cardstock card base.  I added a little glitter to the stars and stamped the sentiment and a few sparkling clear sequins completed the scene.

My second card goes deep!   I printed the image and printed it again on masking paper.  I fussy cut the masking paper image so that I could ink blend above and below the horizon, working to create a bright focal point.  I then removed the mask and Copic coloured the main image and highlighted a few points with a white gel pen.

I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant Wish Upon A Star stamp set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed in white.  I framed out the scene with a skinny black die cut frame popped up on foam tape and then added the 4 point stars with more of the white gel pen and a a few 4 point star holographic embellishments so that this one really glinted when it was handled .... and it does!  The decorative panel was glued to a black cardstock base for the drama and when I used darker cardstock bases I always include a nice quality white insert panel inside which I trim to be a little smaller than the A2 size.

Care Of My Heart - My Favorite Things

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today I'm sharing a card using MFT's newest illustrator Rachelle Anne Miller and a stamp image called 'Care Of My Heart'.  Rachelle is a talented Australian illustrator known for her cute and whimsical illustrations inspired by her own three children.  You can find out more about Rachelle and buy her digital stamps HERE.  Some of you reading here today will know that I design for Rachelle's Digital Stamps line.

To create this card I first used the MFT 'Mini Cloud Edges' stencil to ink blend the background.  Over that I layered a die cut using MFT's London Skyline die that I also embellished by using MFT's Basic Stitch Lines  to give the girl something to 'walk' along.   I stamped the sentiment from 'Care Of My Heart'  and then this panel was applied to the background with dimensional foam tape.

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped the little girl image using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.   I used Copic markers to colour the image.    Skin E0000, E21, E11, E04.   Dress FRV1 and RV04, FY1 and Y15.  Hair E0000, E51, E31 and E44.   Bunny E0000, E42 and E43.   Some shading was done using the W's.

The image was die cut using the coordinating die, backed with foam tape and applied.

I highlighted one or two points with a white gel pen and applied sparkling clear sequins to finish the scene.

Little Fairy - Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studio

I'm back with a new card for Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios which means this is a digital stamp image which also means instant gratification!!    My card today uses the sweet 'Little Fairy' image.

To create this card which required no masking, I merely sent the digital image to my printer where I'd placed a sheet of Copic friendly cardstock.  For this one I didn't need to change the scale or anything.

I used Copic markers to colour the sweet scene.  I then used a white gel pen to highlight some points and to dot in some interest throughout the design.

I die cut the panel to give it a faux stitched edge and backed it with white craft foam and adhered it to a full size A2 panel which in turn was adhered to a white cardstock card base.

The sentiments are by Hello Bluebird Stamps.

To finish the card I used some water droplet style embellishments from my stash and adhered them into position with Ranger Multi Medium Matte because it dries totally clear and is very strong.

Such a fun card to colour, I hope you consider Rachelle's beautiful designs ... no waiting time!

Bunny Princess - Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios

I'm back with a new card for Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios.  These are digital download stamps so you get the benefit of instant satisfaction.   Print your digital image on the cardstock of your choice and as I did with this card I printed it a second time on masking paper so that I could create the bokeh background.  This image is called Bunny Princess.

With the image printed twice I fussy cut the masking paper image and layered it over the one on my Copic friendly cardstock.  I used a stencil called Bokeh Lights by Simon Says Stamp.   I ink blended with Distress Oxides in Speckled Egg and Peacock Feathers. and then removed the mask.

I coloured my Bunny Princess image with Copic markers and I highlighted a few points with a white gel pen.   I cut down my image to a 4 1/2 inch square and die cut the frame from Mama Elephant applying it with foam tape.

Finally I stamped the sentiment from Hello Bluebird Stamps and applied it with foam tape and a grabbed a few sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and glued them for a sweet sparkle.
