Simon Says Stamp - STAMPtember 2025 Blog Party!

For the party today I'm sharing this new card featuring 'Block Presents' a brand new die together with A2 Frames Die and the 'Tiny Words Birthday' stamp set.

I took some pink and yellow cardstock and using the A2 Frames die I die cut two panels and then used the next size die down to cut again.  The frames were  applied to a white card base and the centre panels were backed with white craft foam and then glued in place.

I grabbed the new Block Presents die and die cut white cardstock twice to form two identical die cut images.  I glued these in place on each of the coloured panels.

To complete the card I created some matching sentiment strips and stamped a little sentiment onto each and then adhered them like gift tags to each group of presents.  The final touch was the addition of a few small sparkling clear sequins.

This card was a pretty quick make in the CAS style.  The Block Presents die would make fantastic shaker cards among other uses!

Purple Onion Designs - Flappy's Lucky Day

 

Hi!  I'm happy to be sharing this CAS card today for Purple Onion Designs which features their 'Flappy's Lucky Day' stamp image.  Read on for the details.

I took a white A2 panel of cardstock and I masked a line above which I ink blended with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink.  I then came in with a cloud stencil from my stash and softly ink blended the sky using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

I stamped the images and coloured with the following Copic markers:-

Flappy - E44, E43, E55, W3, W1, W0, R000, R0000

Blushes - R22, R20, R00

Clover - YG67, G07, YG13

Sparrows - E31, E41, Y19

I highlighted a few points with a white gel pen and then fussy cut the images.

I backed the images with dimensional foam tape and applied them to the background and to finish the card I stamped the sentiment which is from the 'Lucky Sentiment Set'.

My Favorite Things - You Give Me Butterflies - April Card Kit Release

 

Hello!   The You Give Me Butterflies April card kit from MFT Stamps is now available for purchase.  Today I'm sharing with you my second card (keep scrolling after this post to see what I shared yesterday using the kit.   Here's what I've used to make this CAS card:-

Peek-a-Boo Butterfly Die-namics

You Give Me Butterflies Sentiment Stamp Set

Such a simple card to make, I simply prepared two sturdy white A2 panels of cardstock.  One I adhered to my card base and with the other I die cut using the Peek-a-Boo Butterfly Die-namics.   I then carefully applied glue to the back of this die cut panel and adhered it to the other panel.

I found a 'rainbow' of colourful cardstock scraps and die cut the Peek-A-Boo Butterfly once from each scrap and I then selected piece by piece to form a rainbow effect and for added interest I made the butterfly's body and a couple of areas of the wing tips a glittered silver cardstock.   I carefully glued the little sections through the openings.

I stamped the sentiment with black ink in my Misti so that I could repeat stamp for a perfect image and with that this CAS card was done!

My Favorite Things - April Release Day / MFT & Friends

 

The new release from MFT Stamps is now available for purchase and I'm excited to share this CAS design card featuring the absolutely beautiful Stacey Yacula illustrated stamp set called 'Bunny Bouquet'.  Here's what I've used:-

A2 Double Stitched Rectangles Die-namics

The illustration is just so beautiful that I wanted to keep this card clutter free and to let the image shine.  To that end I stamped the image on a white panel of Copic friendly cardstock using a very pale grey ink so that I could colour in the no-line style.

Here are the Copic colours used:-

Bunny - E31, E42, E41, E40, T5, T3, T1, T0, R21, R20, R00

Large Flowers - R05, R21, RV10, YG01, C1

Flowers Centre - E01, YR20, C1, YG01

Berries - BV01, BV31

Flowers Bottom - RV52, V000, YG01

Greenery - YG17, YG13, YG01

I used a white gel pen to dot in some interest and to highlight some areas and then I stamped the sentiment in my Misti and die cut using the Rectangles Die-namics.  This panel was backed with white craft foam and applied to a a white A2 panel and then to the card base.

The latest Wednesday Sketch Challenge WSC618 could not be more simple!   Here are the products I used in my inspiration card:-

Small Brick Wall Stencil

I lay the stencil over a white panel of cardstock and used Distress Oxide Ink in Antique Linen to approximate the sketch and made sure to fade towards the edges of where I'd need it for a soft look to what amounts to a focal point.

I die cut the panel using the die-namics and I stamped the I LOVE MEW sentiment.  This panel was backed with white craft foam and adhered to a pink A2 panel which in turn was applied to my card base.

I stamped the images from I Knead You with Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and I coloured the images with the following Copic markers:-

Kitten - C5, C3, C1, C00, W6, W5, W4, W3, W2

Blush - RV14, RV42, R11, R000

Toy Mouse - T3, T2, T0, B00, B0000, Y15, Y06, RV14, RV42, R11

Speech Bubble - B00, B000, B0000, C3, C1, C00

Shelf - RV14, RV42, R11, T3, T1

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen, they were die cut and adhered with dimensional foam tape.

My Favorite Things - July Vault Release - Countdown Day 2

You've probably already hear that this month MFT Stamps is celebrating their 'sweet 16' birthday and to fit the theme the vault release this month is everything birthday!

This is Countdown Day 2 to the July 19th release at 10am Eastern and here are the products used:-

I started by preparing my panels of cardstock.   A full A2 size panel of Princess Pink cardstock was applied to the card base and over this I layered a white die cut panel created using the Stax die-namics and then one more panel a size smaller was stamped using the Balloon Party Stamps and then also die cut with the Stax die-namics and glued down.

I used the Bold Happy Birthday die-namics and die cut 110lb cover weight white cardstock three times and a fourth time from silver glitter cardstock.   This weight of cardstock quickly gets me to some lovely chunky dimensional letters which I love.

Each letter was glued in stacks with the silver (shadow) layer offset to the left so that it just catches the light).   I glued the letters down to form the sentiment and with that CAS card was complete.

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge - WSC598

It's Wednesday and that means there is a new Sketch Challenge at MFT Stamps.   This is WSC598 and this is my inspiration card for this easy challenge that I hope you'll participate in.

So you'll see right away that this is a super simple design this week.   Here are the products used in my project:-

Big Balloon Stencil

A2 Stitched Rectangles Stax Set 2 Die-namics

Arched Happy Birthday Die-namics

Happy Patterns 6 x 6 Paper Pad

I created a panel using the Stax Die-namics and used the stencil to ink blend the balloon.   I keep the stencil in place and then used glitter embossing paste over the entire balloon surface and then carefully removed it and dried it in front of a mini desktop fan.   I used a ruler and archival ink pen to make the balloon string once it was dry.

This panel was applied to an A2 panel of patterned paper from the paper pad listed and adhered to my card base.

The Arched Happy Birthday Die comes in 2 parts.   I chose black for my background and white for my lettering, I glued everything together then applied it to the scene popped up on dimensional foam tape.

Three large sparkling clear sequins were the perfect finishing accent for this CAS card.

My Favorite Things - I Need Some Me & You Time

Hello friends!  I have a clean and simple (CAS) card for MFT Stamps today featuring the April release stamp set illustrated by Pure Innocence called I Need Some Me & You Time.

I started my card by creating the smaller than A2 white panel using the A2 Stitched Rectangles Die-namics.   I masked a line and ink blended using the Distress Oxide ink above the line then carefully peeled away the mask and stamp the sentiment from the stamp set beneath it.  I backed this panel with white craft foam and adhered it to a full size A2 panel of which cardstock which in turn was adhered to a card base.

I stamped the adorable girl from I Need Some Me & You Time and coloured here with the following Copic markers:-

Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00, R21, R20, R00

Hair - E51, E42, E43

Pyjamas - R83, R11, RV52, W4, W3, W2, W1, W0

Pillow - BG11, W5, W3, W1, W0

Slippers, E31, E51

I highlighted a few points with a white gel pen then die cut using the coordinating dies.   She was backed with foam tape and applied to the background a few 4 point star embellishments completed the scene.

Hello Bluebird Color Challenge 2

Did you hear about the new Color Challenge from Hello Bluebird Stamps?   The challenge started May 1st  and closes at 11.59pm MST on May 15th.  The randomly selected winner will be announced on May 16th.  I do hope you join in.   You can find all the challenge rules and details on the Hello Bluebird Instagram or Blog.   Find below the color board you're working with and my second of two inspiration cards, you can find the other one here on my blog by scrolling down.

This simple CAS card demonstrates that  you can enter the challenge with quick card and maybe produce several entries to increase your chance of winning.

I created an A2 white panel and a second panel which was cut down smaller.   I masked a line on the smaller panel and above it I blended 'sand' using Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink and a little Squeezed Lemonade and then I used Peacock Feathers for the sky.

I carefully removed the mask and stamped the sentiment from Beach Play, backed the panel with white craft foam and adhered it to the A2 panel and in turn to the card base.

I stamped the image from Beach Play and coloured it with the following Copic markers:-

Peach Reds - R05, R22, R21

Green - G02, G12

Gold Yellow - Y17, Y15, Y13

Bear - E42, E41, E40, E0000

Skunk - W5, W4, W3, W0, W00

Blushed Cheeks - R21, R20, R00

I die cut the image with coordinating dies backed it with dimensional foam tape and applied it.

Three tiny sparkling clear sequins completed this clean and simple scene.

My Favorite Things - Holiday Snow Globe Card Kit Release Day

Today is the day you can purchase the My Favorite Things September card kit called Holiday Snow Globe.   Here is an inspiration card that I made using elements from the kit.

To create this card I first used A2 Stitched Rectangles STAX Set 2 to die cut the patterned papers from the kit's paper pad called Holly Jolly.   Using a smaller die from the same set I cut a dotted design and using that same smaller size I die cut two more panels from white cardstock and I gave each of those panels a snow edge using Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics.

I applied one white panel over the other and shaped a sentiment from Snow Globe Singles to match the edge of the snow on my Misti door and stamped twice for a nice and perfect sentiment.  The white panels were then backed with foam tape, applied to the dotted panel which in turn was applied to the pink panel and glued to the card base.

Images from Snow Glob Singles were stamped and coloured with Copic markers that toned nicely with the patterned papers.   Here's my colour palette:-

🐻-  E31, E41, RV09, RV06, BG72, BG11, T3, T2

🎅- RV09, RV06, E21, E00, T4, T2, W2

🐧- T4, T3, T2, YR04, RV09, RV06, BG72, BG11

🌲- G000, G00, BG32

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and the coordinating die-namics were used to die cut the images which were arranged and applied either directly or with foam tape to build some depth.

Halloween Costumes - Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios

I have an adorable new Halloween card for you today featuring the digital stamp image called Halloween Costumes by Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios.     I downloaded the image and printed it on my home printer on to Copic friendly cardstock.   This panel was die cut to give the faux stitched edge and finish it at a size slightly smaller than A2.

I had fun colouring this perfectly gorgeous image using my Copic markers.  Here's my colour palette:-

Witches Hat - W9, W7, W4

Bunny - E51, W4, W5, R000

Bear - E44, E43, E42, E40

Pumpkin Costume - E01, YR00, YR61, W3

Squirrel Ghost - W7, W5

Ghost Costume -  B0000, B000

Cheeks -  R00, R20, R21

Ground - BG70, W1

As you can see I transferred a little of the orange hues on to the bunny as well as some of the blues so that it took the eye around the gathering of friends.  I then highlighted a few points using a white gel pen.   I adhered the panel to an A2 black panel of cardstock to frame it out nicely and in turn this was applied to a card base.

To create the sentiment I first used the Charlie Alpha Die by Hello Bluebird Stamps and I die cut the letters BOO three times.  Once from white cardstock and twice from black.   I glued these letters together in stacks and slightly offset the top white layer in order to get a dimensional shadow affect.   These letters were glued into position.   Underneath to finish the sentiment I stamped 'be very afraid' using Versamark Ink and heat embossed in white which nicely pops on black cardstock.  This strip was applied with foam tape for some dimension.

I can rarely resist the temptation to add some sparkle and so I glued just 4, four point star embellishments so that the card remained really quite CAS (clean and simple).  Hope you love this sweet image as much as I do!
