My Favorite Things - Jenoblade Release - Tea Party Pals

Hi!  Tomorrow January 30th at 10am Eastern, MFT will be having a new Jenoblade illustrated release of several stamp sets.  My card today features the new Tea Party Pals set.  Here's what I've used:-

I created an A2 panel of kraft cardstock and glued it to my card base.  I took a white panel of cardstock and used the stencil to ink blend a grass and pink sky background in a nice and soft manner.  The panel was die cut using Blueprints 27, backed with white craft foam and adhered to the kraft panel.

I die cut the PAR-TEA letters from red and white cardstock and glued them in an offset/shadow style.  I determined where I wanted it to sit on my background panel and adhered in position.  I stamped and added the other sentiment strip with dimensional foam tape.

I stamped the elements from Tea Party Pals using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and I coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:-

Bear - E44, E31, E41
Bunny - W3, W2, W0, W00
Blushes - R22, R20, R00
Tea Set - BG70, C3, C1, C00
Cake - C3, C1, C00
Red - RV17, RV06, RV04, R32
Leaves - YG13

I die cut the coloured images and applied them to the background with foam tape.  One or two points were highlighted with a white gel pen and then the finishing touch was 3 sparkling clear sequin accents to this Birthday PAR-TEA scene.

I'll have another Jenoblade release card tomorrow, so look out for that!

My Favorite Things - December Release Day!

You can now start to shop the brand new release by MFT Stamps!  Perhaps you'll treat yourself to one or more of the new Jenoblade illustrated stamp sets, I can never resist playing with them.  Here's what i've used:-

Slimline Drifts & Hills Stencil

To create this slimline card I first prepared a panel of kraft cardstock measuring 8 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches and adhered it to a card base.  I then took a slightly smaller panel of white cardstock and I used the stencil and a rainbow of MFT's inks to create the background.

I used Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa to stamp the images from Right On Track and I coloured with the following Copic markers:-

Records - T6, T5, T4, T3, T2
Record Sleeves - C3, C1, C0, C00
Raccoon - T6, T5, T4, T3, T2, T0
Fox - E37, E17, E15, E13
Puppy - E42, E31, E41, E40
Kitten - YR24, Y26, E21, YR20, YR30
Blushes - RV55, RV02, RV10

I die cut and adhered the images either directly with glue or popped up on foam tape and highlighted a few points on the images using a white gel pen.

To finish I added the music notes and stamped the sentiment in the corner.

My Favorite Things - December Release Preview

A warm welcome to my blog today where I'm previewing products from the December release by MFT Stamps which you can buy tomorrow at 10am Eastern.   My project features one of the new stamp sets illustrated by Jenoblade.  Here's what I've used:-

Heavy Snowfall Stencil
Blueprints 27
Holiday Plaid 6 x 6 Paper Pad
Polaroid Shaker Frame Die-namics

To create the card i first created an A2 panel of patterned cardstock.  Over this I layered a die cut made using Blueprints 27.  I masked the edges of this die cut, overlayed the stencil and inked with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink.  I kept the stencil in position and then used glitter paste before carefully removing the stencil and setting the panel aside to dry for 30 minutes or so.

I stamped the two images I used from Squish Friends with Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and I coloured with the following Copic markers:-

Puppy - E42, E31, E41, C5, C3, C1, C00, R000, YG07, YG03
Bunnies - C3, C1, C0, C00, R000
Kitten - E42, E41, E40, C3, C1, C00
Blushes - RV63, RV02, RV10

I highlighted their blushing cheeks then die cut and backed with foam tape.

I die cut the Polaroid Shaker Frames a bunch of times.  3 times from pink cardstock and once from white cardstock.  I glued the frames in stacks, discarding the pink inside cuts but with the white inside cuts I ink blended backgrounds and dotted in some interest with Copic markers and a white gel pen.  I recessed those backgrounds through the opening and adhered them in place on the reverse side.

I stamped the sentiment on one of the frames and then adhered them to the background panel with a combination of glue and foam tape.  This whole panel was then ready to adhere to the patterned background and then to the card base.

Card complete!

My Favorite Things - July Vault Release - Interactive Birthday Cake Die-namics

One final project today for the MFT Stamps July Vault Release which is available now.  Here's what I've used for this birthday card:-

I used MFT's lovely Prestige cardstock to create the cake and glued the components together backing it with foam tape.

I adhered the cake to a panel that was ink blended using Black Soot, Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks and which had also be sized using the Stax Die-namics.  I backed the blended panel with white craft foam, popped it in my Misti and double stamped the pretty sentiment.  The whole panel was then adhered to a white A2 panel then to the card base.

I stamped three of the adorable mice from Mice Day To Celebrate and coloured them with the following Copic markers:-

Mice - E31, E41, E40
Blushes - R22, R21, R00, R000
Purple - V17, V04, V12, V01
Candle Shading - C3, C1

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and then they were die cut and applied with foam tape.

For the finishing celebratory touch I adhered a scattering of teeny tiny silver star embellishments so as to look like the exuberant mouse at the top had burst out of the cake and thrown confetti ..... looks like there are going to be lots of footprints in the buttercream icing!!!

Thanks for joining me on my blog today - it is always appreciated.

My Favorite Things - July Vault Release Day

The July Vault Release is now available for purchase from MFT Stamps.  Perhaps you'll join me for pizza!  Here's what I've used to make this delicious card:-

To kick things off I created a background panel using the background stamp and then scaled it down using the Stitched Rectangles Die-namics, gluing it then to a white A2 panel and to my card base.

Next, I die cut all the different little components from the Pizza Maker Die-namics and I had fun ink blending the crust, sauce and cheese pieces and gluing them together.

I used Copic markers to colour the pizza toppings, pepperoni, ham, red onions, green peppers, mushrooms and black olives.  I highlighted a little with a white gel pen and then glued the toppings to the pizza.

I popped the card in my Misti and double stamped the sentiment from Pizza My Heart (there are some fun ones in the set) and then I backed the pizza with foam tape and stuck it down.

YUM!

Come back tomorrow and I'll have another floral card for you, hope to you then!  Happy shopping.

My Favorite Things - July Vault Release Preview

Welcome to my blog and a new Vault Release by MFT Stamps.   The Vault will be swung wide open at 10am tomorrow July 18th!   One of the products being released from the vault is the Watercolor Flowers stamp set.  Here's what I've used for this project:-

I didn't use the die-namics for my card but I want to assure you that there are coordinating die-namics for the Watercolor Flowers stamp set.  This is a layering stamp set and I took a panel of white cardstock and three related shade of ink and stamped the blooms in a random pattern on the panel.  I then stamped in the stalks and spritzed with white acrylic paint mixed with a little water and then with gold watercolour paint.

I scaled down the panel a little using the Stitched Rectangles Die-namics and applied it to a white A2 panel.

I created an inner frame using the Frames Die-namics and applied that popped up on foam tape.

Finally, I die cut the two parts of the Sweet Hello Die-namics.  The back piece was cut from vellum and the focal Hello from gold cardstock and then were glue to together then within the frame.  This card style would be a great one for boxed sets of notecards as a gift as you can produce them pretty quickly but just alter the colours of the flowers so that every one in a boxed set is different from the next.

I'll be back the next 3 days with 3 more projects featuring products from the vault and each of them very different from one another.  Hope you'll join me again.

My Favorite Things - Fresh Foliage with The Whole Herd

A warm welcome to my blog today where I'm sharing a new card for MFT Stamps using the brand new Fresh Foliage stamp set from the latest release which I've combined with the ever popular Birdie Brown illustrated The Whole Herd stamp set.   Here's what I've used to make this birthday card:-

I took an A2 panel of white cardstock and using MFT's lovely inks I stamped using 3 green colours and just two images from the Fresh Foliage stamp set.  I started from the top and worked down and then ink blended through the lower third of the foliage to fill in the ground a little more.  I stamped the sentiment then die cut using the A2 Die-namics.  I backed this with a piece of white craft foam and glued it to a green panel and then in turn to my card base.

I then stamped the images I was wanting to use from The Whole Herd using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa (my go to for stamping most of the time) and then coloured with Copic markers.  Here are the colours used:-

Cow - T4, T3, T2, T1, C3, C1, C0, C00, R21, R20, R00, R000, E44
Chicks - Y19, Y15, Y06, Y00
Piglet - R21, R20, R00, R000
Chicken - R22, E43, E42, E41, C3, C1, C0, C00

Cheeks were blushed and points highlighted with a white gel pen and then I die cut using the coordinating die-namics and baked the larger animals with regular foam tape and to make them pop a little more, for the chicks I used a thicker foam tape.

I finished the card by adding some white gel pen dots throughout the foliage and added three sparkling clear sequin accents which just add a little interest as they catch the light while the card is handled by the recipient.

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge - WSC616

Here is the latest Wednesday Sketch Challenge WSC616 from MFT Stamps and I hope you are going to play along for a chance to win a gift voucher.

I took one look at this sketch and I immediately saw snowdrifts and that is how my inspiration card got started.

Products Used:-

I used the stencil together with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Ink and approximated the the lines of the sketch - you don't need to be too literal ... work with what you have to hand.  I sized this panel to slightly smaller than A2, backed it with white craft foam and applied it to an A2 white panel attached to a card base.

I popped the card in my Misti and stamped the sentiment and set the base to one side.  Meanwhile, I stamped and coloured the Cool Day images for my winter birthday card.  Here are the colours used:-

Polar Bear - C5, C3, C1, C00, E50
Pinky Red + Blush - RV14, RV42, R11, R000
White - C3, C1, C0, C00
Snow On Sign - BG93, BG90

I die cut the images and applied to the scene with foam tape including a few pink (why not?) snowflakes as simple but unusual embellishments.  One or two points were highlighted with my trusty white gel pen and then this CAS (clean and simple) project was complete.   Best of luck with your challenge entries!

My Favorite Things - August Card Kit - Countdown Day 1

I'm excited to be sharing my first card for this beautiful Sending Sunflowers Card Kit which you can purchase tomorrow May 23rd at 10am.

Here are the products I have used from the kit:-

This is a 5 1/2 inch square card.  I created a white panel with those dimensions then a smaller panel using the Houndstooth paper pad, one more panel of prestige cardstock and then the final one I would make my feature panel.

I used Distress Oxide Ink in Speckled Egg to create a soft focal point and then stamped the sentiment.   I backed this panel with white craft foam and applied it to the green panel.  I set this to one side whilst I made the wreath.

To make the pretty wreath I used the two sets of die-namics to create all I need for making the foundation of the wreath and the flowers and greenery.  Once I had all the individual flowers assembled I was able to build the wreath.  I just built it as I went along and glued the flowers in place and tucked greenery here and there.   Once it was made I flipped it over and applied thin strips of dimensional foam tape and adhered it to the panel above the sentiment.

A few sparkling clear sequins completed the card elegantly.
