My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge - WSC618

The latest Wednesday Sketch Challenge WSC618 could not be more simple!   Here are the products I used in my inspiration card:-

I lay the stencil over a white panel of cardstock and used Distress Oxide Ink in Antique Linen to approximate the sketch and made sure to fade towards the edges of where I'd need it for a soft look to what amounts to a focal point.

I die cut the panel using the die-namics and I stamped the I LOVE MEW sentiment.  This panel was backed with white craft foam and adhered to a pink A2 panel which in turn was applied to my card base.

I stamped the images from I Knead You with Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and I coloured the images with the following Copic markers:-

Kitten - C5, C3, C1, C00, W6, W5, W4, W3, W2
Blush - RV14, RV42, R11, R000
Toy Mouse - T3, T2, T0, B00, B0000, Y15, Y06, RV14, RV42, R11
Speech Bubble - B00, B000, B0000, C3, C1, C00
Shelf - RV14, RV42, R11, T3, T1

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen, they were die cut and adhered with dimensional foam tape.

Super quick, super cute!   Good luck with your challenge entries.

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge 589

Hello and welcome to a brand new Wednesday Sketch Challenge at MFT Stamps.   I'm sharing an inspiration card with you in the hopes that you will enter your own for the challenge and who knows, you may end up the lucky winner!

I created a white slimline panel and where my openings would be I glued some pretty plaid paper from the Pretty In Plaid 6 x 6 Paper Pad.   Over this and adhered with foam tape I layered a panel of Chantilly Cream cardstock that was die cut using the Slimline Starter Die-namics and the Inside & Out Stitched Circle Die-namics.

I stamped images from I Knead You and coloured them with Copic markers - here are the colours I used:-

Top Cat - C5, C3, C1, C0, C00
Middle Cat - E44, E43, E42, E41
Bottom Cat - E13, E11, E21, E30
Rosy Cheeks - R21, R20, R00

Images were die cut using the coordinating die-namics and applied with foam tape.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment on an Essential Stitched Sentiment strip and applied it under the sleeping cat with foam tape.

A few crystal accents finished off the design.

Best of luck to you with your entries!

My Favorite Things - Vault Release Countdown Day 4

A warm welcome to my blog today where I'm sure a card for My Favorite Things as we start a 4 day countdown to the June 22nd release of 14 Birdie Brown stamp/die sets.   By the end of the year all of the Birdie Brown sets will have been released from the vault and will remain available.  My card today features one of my all time favourites I Knead You.   Read on for the details.

To create this card I created a panel slightly smaller than a size 6 card (finished dimensions of 6 inches x 3 1/2 inches.  I ink blended the panel using Distress Oxide Ink in Kitsch Flamingo.   I splashed it with water to distress it, blotting it up quickly with kitchen paper.    I then watered down a little Poppin' Pink Premium Dye Ink and splattered that on.   The panel was glued to a slightly larger panel of Lazy Day Prestige Cardstock and this was then adhered to the white card base I'd prepared and I made sure to size it so that a little white border shows all around the edge of the blue.

I stamped my images from I Knead You onto Copic friendly cardstock.    I coloured my images using Copic markers.  The cats were done using W00, W0, W1, W2, W4 and their cheeks in R00 and R20.  Thought bubbles were coloured with B91, W3 and W1.   Shelves with E44, E43 and E42.  Points were highlighted with a white gel pen.   The images were die cut using the coordinating die-namics, they were backed with foam tape and applied.

I finished the card simply with the addition of a few sparkling clear sequins!

Happy crafting!
