Mixing Up your Hello Bluebird Stamps

I have a new card today for Hello Bluebird Stamps.  You may already be aware how well Hello Bluebird's stamps mix and match and it is fun to build new scenes by pulling from many of your stamp sets as I have done here.

To create this card I first stamped the background image from Storybook Friends.  I stamped with pale grey ink so that I could do a no line Copic coloured background which I then diffused the look of by layering over with a piece of vellum.    I glued it down with a line of glue under where I knew my frame would go and thus hide it.

I die cut some lovely apple green cardstock using the Gallery Frame #2 Die.  I backed this die cut with foam tape and applied it to the background.

I popped the framed background in my Misti.   I chose the sentiment from Strawberry Jam, centred it in the upper portion of the frame and stamped twice.  I then attached the panel to my sturdy card base.

I stamped the bunny from Meadow Bunnies, the little girl and bird from Picked For You and butterflies are from other sets.    I coloured these images with Copic markers.   Here are my colours:-

Blues - B91, B93, B95, B97

Whites - W2, W0

Bunny - E44, E43, E42, E0000, R21, R20, R00

Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00

Hair - E44, E42, E0000

I die cut my images using the coordinating dies and then backed them with more foam tape and applied them.

For the finishing touches I got out my gel pens and I dotted the girl's shirt with a bright pink and highlighted points with a white gel pen on all images.

Simple Stripe Background Stamp - Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hi!   This new card for Hello Bluebird Stamps uses their new background stamp called 'Simple Stripe'.  I paired this background image with Storybook Friends and the Hello Friend word die and the grass strip of course was made using the Grassy Knoll die.   Framing out the scene is the Gallery Frame #2 die.

I placed my stamp in my Misti and inked it up and stamped and then repeated the process for a nice smooth finish.  I die cut some blue cardstock using the Grassy Knoll die and stuck it behind the Gallery Frame die cut, backed with foam tape and applied.

I stamped my images from Storybook Friends and Copic coloured, die cut and highlighted and also adhered with foam tape.

I made several die cuts of the Hello Friends word die, several in white and one more time with the same blue cardstock used for the grass.  I adhered them in stacks and then followed the stripes on the background to adhere them to the scene.

A few sparkling clear sequins were adhered and the decorative panel applied to a sturdy white cardstock base.   Card completed!

Glad Tidings - Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hi, I have another new card today for the Hello Bluebird Stamps release.  This card features the new stamp set called Glad Tidings with sentiments from the new Joy & Peace set.

The card started with me ink blending the background panel using Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot.   I then splashed a lot of white acrylic paint for the snow.  When it was dry I dotted in metallic gel pen and glued on four point stars so there is lots of fun twinkle when it is handled.

This was applied to the card base and set aside.

On Copic friendly paper I stamped the angel image from Glad Tidings using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.   I coloured it delicately with Copic markers and fussy cut the image and applied it to the scene.

I framed out the scene with a white die cut of the Gallery Frame #2 die that was backed with dimensional foam tape.

Finally I turned to the Joy & Peace stamp set which is sentiment heavy and so useful.   I stamped the longer sentiment with Memento Ink in Fog to a card strip and applied with foam tape and the LOVE was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed in pale blue, a process I repeated in my Misti to build it up nice and thick and dimensional.  This too was applied with foam tape and with that the card was complete.

Springtime Easter Card - Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hello, welcome to my blog!  I have a new card today for Hello Bluebird Stamps and it is Easter themed.   I've combined images from Spring Gatherings and Springtime for this card, they work beautifully together.



The first step was to create the pastel plaid background panel which I did using a 4 part stencil kit by Honey Bee Stamps (although I only used 3 of the 4).   I brushed on Distress Inks using Clarity Stencil Brushes for a super soft look with no hard edges.  I applied this panel to a white cardstock base.



I die cut the Gallery Frame #2 Die and used just the frame which I backed with foam tape and applied to the background.  I then used the Grassy Knoll die to create the section of grass which I delicately ink blended with Distress Ink in Cracked Pistachio.  I stamped the sentiment and backed this portion with foam tape also and applied it within the frame.

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped the images from the two stamp sets using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.  I used an array of Copic markers to colour everything and then I die cut and applied them to the background using either a single or double layer of foam tape to achieve some fun depth.



Cheeks were highlighted with a white gel pen and I decided that no other embellishment was needed for this card.

Field Mice and Strawberry Jam - Hello Bluebird Stamps

I'm back with a new card for Hello Bluebird Stamps where I've combined two of their newer stamp sets Field Mice and Strawberry Jam.  Also used in this project is the Grassy Knoll die and both the Gallery Frame #2 and Gallery Frame #1 die (underneath).

I ink blended a panel of white cardstock using Distress Oxide Ink in Spun Sugar, softly creating a focal point.  To this I adhered a white die cut of the Gallery Frame #1 die.  Next, I ink blended a panel of cardstock using Distress Ink in Lucky Clover and I die cut with the Grassy Knoll die to create the grass edge which I trimmed to size and added to the panel with a little dimensional foam tape behind it.  I then die cut more white cardstock with the Gallery Frame #2 die and I backed this with foam tape and layered it over the other frame.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped my images from Field Mice and Strawberry Jam using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil.  These images were watercolour painted using Kuretake Zigs in Oatmeal, Beige, Light Pink, Yellow and  Turquoise Green.  Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and then the images were die cut.

I figured out where the sentiment from Strawberry Jam would fit perfectly and stamped the sentiment.  I backed the images with foam tape and applied them to the scene.

The panel was attached to a 110lb white cardstock base and I used Nuvo Drops to embellish the scene.
