McGregor's Garden - Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hello!   I have a new card for Hello Bluebird Stamps today that uses the Sunshine Scene Die in a new and fun way.  The card also features some of the cuties from McGregor's Garden.

I decided to switch to using the normally landscape Sunshine Scene Die to portrait mode and die cut an A2 panel of white cardstock.   Also cut mounds of grass using the cloud portion.  I ink blended each section and put the jigsaw puzzle back together again, adhering each piece one by one to a panel of cardstock.   I stamped in some little tufts of grass and framed out the background using the Gallery Frame #1 Die, cut from more white cardstock.  This was backed with dimensional foam tape and applied.

I stamped the bunnies and birds from McGregor's Garden on to Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil.   I watercolour painted the images using Kuretake Zigs and then die cut, backed with foam tape and applied.  Points were highlighted with a white gel pen.

To finish the project I die cut a cloud from the Maverick coordinating die set and applied it with the sentiment stamped on it and the scattered blooms are from Banner Buddies.

Happy crafting!

Hippos On Holiday with the Ocean Scene Die - Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hi!  I have a very summery card today for Hello Bluebird Stamps that features the fun Hippos on Holiday stamp set.

To make this card I first die cut the Ocean Scene die and Ink Blended all the different portions.  Sky was done with Peacock Feathers and Spice Marmalade Distress Inks.   Ocean with Peacock Feathers and sand with Antique Linen and Tea Dye.  Sparkling copper, white and silver dots were added with gel pens to give texture to the sand and silver dots for some sparkle in the water.

The pieces were reassembled glueing them to a panel of cardstock which in turn was adhered to a 110lb white cardstock base.

I die cut the frame from the Gallery Frame #1 die and backed it with foam tape and applied it.

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped my images from Hippos on Holiday.  I coloured them with a variety of Copic markers.  They were die cut and backed with foam tape and applied to the scene.  I highlighted a few points with a white gel pen.

To finish up, I stamped the sentiment to the strip of cardstock and applied it and I added a few sparkling clear sequins for a little sparkling accent.

Happy crafting!

Field Mice - Hello Bluebird Stamps

I'm back with a new card for Hello Bluebird Stamps.  This card combines the adorable Field Mice stamp set along with the blossom branch from Picked For You, the background is the Pathway stamp set which I altered to my needs and it is framed out with the Gallery Frame #1 die.

To create this card I stamped the pathway stamp, removing the ink before stamping to the parts I didn't want an image from.  I used Simon Says Stamp in Fog for stamping, it is a very pale gray that just disappears for no line Copic colouring.   I  Copic coloured this portion of the scene and then ink blended the sky using Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass and a little Peacock Feathers.

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped the blossom branch from Picked For you about 12 times using the same Fog ink mentioned above.  Again I Copic coloured these images and die cut them all and proceeded to layer them into the scene to build cherry blossom trees, adhering as I went.

I stamped the two joyfully skipping mice from Field Mice  using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and coloured them with Copics, backed them with foam tape and adhered them as the focal point.

To finish up the scene I backed the frame die cut with foam tape and attached it and I stamped the sentiment from Garden Friends to a strip of cardstock and applied the same way.

A few points were highlighted with a white gel pen and I decided against any further embellishment for this project.

I appreciate you stopping by today, happy crafting.

Field Mice with Rainbow Sky Die - Hello Bluebird Designs

I have a new card for Hello Bluebird Stamps today that features the darling Field Mice stamp set in combination with the Birch Trees Die and the Rainbow Sky Die.

To kick things off I ink blended a panel with Tumbled Glass and a little Spun Sugar.   I die cut the rainbow shapes from the Rainbow Sky Die and ink blended the edges with pastel Distress Inks and adhered them to the background.  Layered over that I placed a white die cut like low clouds from the After The Rain Scene Die.  Almost done with the background, I also die cut the Birch Trees and edged this in Antique Linen Distress Ink and a little Ice Spruce too.  These too were applied to the scene.

I used the Grassy Knoll die to die cut two strips of grass from cardstock I had ink blended with Spun Sugar.  I applied this to the background panel.

I die cut the white frame using the Gallery Frame #1 die.  I backed it with foam tape and applied it.   The skinny pink frame can produced by using any of the Hello Bluebird Scene dies.  I made mine from toning pale pink cardstock and directly glued it.

On Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped the images of the mice from Field Mice using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil.  I watercolour painted the images using Kuretake Zigs, highlighted the cheeks and other points with a white gel pen  and backed them with foam tape and applied them so that they were looking into each other's eyes.

A couple of quick finishing touches.  First of all I stamped the sentiment and applied it popped up on foam tape and I found a pretty little heart embellishment in my stash and floated that above the sweet twosome.  The whole decorative panel was then attached to a 110lb cover weight white cardstock base which is necessary for such a substantial card.

I appreciate you stopping by today, happy crafting!

Field Mice and Strawberry Jam - Hello Bluebird Stamps

I'm back with a new card for Hello Bluebird Stamps where I've combined two of their newer stamp sets Field Mice and Strawberry Jam.  Also used in this project is the Grassy Knoll die and both the Gallery Frame #2 and Gallery Frame #1 die (underneath).

I ink blended a panel of white cardstock using Distress Oxide Ink in Spun Sugar, softly creating a focal point.  To this I adhered a white die cut of the Gallery Frame #1 die.  Next, I ink blended a panel of cardstock using Distress Ink in Lucky Clover and I die cut with the Grassy Knoll die to create the grass edge which I trimmed to size and added to the panel with a little dimensional foam tape behind it.  I then die cut more white cardstock with the Gallery Frame #2 die and I backed this with foam tape and layered it over the other frame.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped my images from Field Mice and Strawberry Jam using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil.  These images were watercolour painted using Kuretake Zigs in Oatmeal, Beige, Light Pink, Yellow and  Turquoise Green.  Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and then the images were die cut.

I figured out where the sentiment from Strawberry Jam would fit perfectly and stamped the sentiment.  I backed the images with foam tape and applied them to the scene.

The panel was attached to a 110lb white cardstock base and I used Nuvo Drops to embellish the scene.

Thank you for stopping by to read about this sweet and joyful summer scene.   I'll be back before you know it with a new card!  Happy crafting!

Halloween Party with the Cozy Plaid Background - Hello Bluebird Stamps

BOO!  I'm back with a new card for Hello Bluebird Stamps that features the Cozy Plaid background stamp.   Hello Bluebird are having a Background Bash and 6 new background stamps are being launched and old favourites are restocked.   This card also features images from Halloween Party and I've used the Grassy Knoll die the Gallery Frame #1 Die  and the Oliver Alpha Die.

I stamped a background panel with the Cozy Plaid stamp and using Memento Ink in Tangelo.   I die cut white cardstock with the Gallery Frame #1 die, I backed it with foam tape and applied it to the panel.  I die cut a piece of cardstock with the Grassy Knoll die, I ink blended it with Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide and splashed it up with the same and also Wilted Violet.  I backed it with a little piece of foam tape and curved it and tucked it behind the frame.

The letters for the BOO sentiment were die cut 3 times over from black cardstock.  Each letter was adhered to the next in stacks and then they were adhered to the plaid background.

On watercolour cardstock I stamped my images from Halloween Friends using Archival Ink in Black.  I watercolour painted the images using the following Kuretake Zigs - Orange, Scarlet Red, Light Gray, Natural Gray, Light Pink, Olive Green and Violet.  Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and they were backed with either one or two layers of foam tape and applied to the scene.

To finish up I applied the decorative panel to a sturdy 110lb white cardstock base and then I simply embellished with a few Sparkling Clear Sequins by Pretty Pink Posh - finally I adhered a pair of google eyes because they fit perfectly with the expression on the raccoon's face!

Happy crafting!
