My Favorite Things - June Release - Countdown Day 3

A warm welcome to Countdown Day 3 of MFT's June release, available for purchase June 13th at 10am.  Here is what I have used in the making of this Pride themed card:-

Mini Cloud Edges Stencil
A2 Double Stitched Rectangles Die-namics

I used Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink  and the stencil to create the background panel which I then die cut using the A2 Die-namics.  I stamped the sentiment from Pride Is For Everyone using black ink and using my Misti to enable repeat inking and stamping for a strong/crisp image.  I then backed this panel with a layer of white craft foam and and adhered it to an A2 panel of which cardstock then to the card base.

Using MFT's wonderful Prestige cardstock and the rainbow image from the new Sign Of The Times Die-namics, I created several rainbows which I glued to the background panel including having them hanging over the edges.  Once the glue was dry I trimmed the edges and to finish the card I applied some sparkling clear sequin accents.

My Favorite Things - Fresh Foliage with The Whole Herd

A warm welcome to my blog today where I'm sharing a new card for MFT Stamps using the brand new Fresh Foliage stamp set from the latest release which I've combined with the ever popular Birdie Brown illustrated The Whole Herd stamp set.   Here's what I've used to make this birthday card:-

I took an A2 panel of white cardstock and using MFT's lovely inks I stamped using 3 green colours and just two images from the Fresh Foliage stamp set.  I started from the top and worked down and then ink blended through the lower third of the foliage to fill in the ground a little more.  I stamped the sentiment then die cut using the A2 Die-namics.  I backed this with a piece of white craft foam and glued it to a green panel and then in turn to my card base.

I then stamped the images I was wanting to use from The Whole Herd using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa (my go to for stamping most of the time) and then coloured with Copic markers.  Here are the colours used:-

Cow - T4, T3, T2, T1, C3, C1, C0, C00, R21, R20, R00, R000, E44
Chicks - Y19, Y15, Y06, Y00
Piglet - R21, R20, R00, R000
Chicken - R22, E43, E42, E41, C3, C1, C0, C00

Cheeks were blushed and points highlighted with a white gel pen and then I die cut using the coordinating die-namics and baked the larger animals with regular foam tape and to make them pop a little more, for the chicks I used a thicker foam tape.

I finished the card by adding some white gel pen dots throughout the foliage and added three sparkling clear sequin accents which just add a little interest as they catch the light while the card is handled by the recipient.

My Favorite Things - Plaid Builder Stencil with Hunny Bunny

Welcome to my blog and this new card for MFT Stamps.   Here are the MFT products used in my project:-

Plaid Builder Stencil
Hunny Bunny Stamps
Hunny Bunny Die-namics
A2 Double Stitched Rectangles Die-namics

I created the pastel plaid background using the Plaid Builder Stencil and MFT Inks,  I then die cut the panel using the second to largest die from the Double Stitched Rectangles Die-namics.   I stamped the sentiment from Hunny Bunny then backed the panel with white craft foam and mounted it on a panel of Sno-Cone cardstock that I'd die cut one size larger from the same die set.  This in turn was glued to a white A2 panel and to my card base.

I stamped the large image from Hunny Bunny and coloured it with the following Copic markers:-

Bunny - E43, E42, E41, RV00, RV000, Y06, Y02, T3, T2, T1, T0
Balloon - RV52, RV10, RV00, RV000, T3, T2, T1, T0, C00

I highlighted with a white gel pen and die cut and applied to the background with dimensional foam tape.

To finish up the card, I die cut (without stamping) the mini clouds also from Hunny Bunny and applied with more foam tape and finished with a sweet glitter 'bobble' under each cloud.

My Favorite Things - July Release - Countdown Day 1

It's Countdown Day 1 of the My Favorite Things July 6th release.  You can buy the release tomorrow at 10am EST.   My card today features the Pure Innocence illustrated stamp set called Just Roll With It.

To create this card I started out by stamping and Copic colouring the Just Roll With It image.  Here are my colours:-

Skin E04, E11, E21 and E000
Oranges YR07, YR04, Y38
Blues B97, B95, B93, B91
Greens YG03, YG01, FYG1
Greys W6, W4, W2, W1

I highlighted a few points with a white gel pen and then die cut using the coordinating die-namics.   I set this to one side.

I created two panels die-cut using the new A2 Double Stitched Rectangles Die-namics.   The back panel uses Poppin' Polka Dots 6 x 6 Paper Pad and the top panel is white cardstock where I brushed on Distress Inks in Carved Pumpkin, Stormy Sky and Squeezed Lemonade in a nod to the colours I used for the little girl.   The blue panel was adhered directly to a white panel and the ink blended panel was adhered with a layer of craft foam behind it to pop it up.

The sentiment strips were created using Essential Stitched Sentiment Die-namics and trimmed down and applied with foam tape.  I was then able to add the girl image also with foam tape.

I completed the card with 3 sparkling clear sequins in two different sizes and that was it!

Join me tomorrow for MFT & Friends as we celebrate the new release with guest designer contributions as well.  Hope to see you then.  Meanwhile leave me you comments and questions, I love to hear from you and then pop along to MFT's blog to see today's reveals together with more inspiration/temptation and leave a comment for a chance to win a $75 gift voucher.  Good luck!
