Field Mice - Hello Bluebird Stamps

I'm back with a new card for Hello Bluebird Stamps.  This card combines the adorable Field Mice stamp set along with the blossom branch from Picked For You, the background is the Pathway stamp set which I altered to my needs and it is framed out with the Gallery Frame #1 die.

To create this card I stamped the pathway stamp, removing the ink before stamping to the parts I didn't want an image from.  I used Simon Says Stamp in Fog for stamping, it is a very pale gray that just disappears for no line Copic colouring.   I  Copic coloured this portion of the scene and then ink blended the sky using Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass and a little Peacock Feathers.

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped the blossom branch from Picked For you about 12 times using the same Fog ink mentioned above.  Again I Copic coloured these images and die cut them all and proceeded to layer them into the scene to build cherry blossom trees, adhering as I went.

I stamped the two joyfully skipping mice from Field Mice  using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and coloured them with Copics, backed them with foam tape and adhered them as the focal point.

To finish up the scene I backed the frame die cut with foam tape and attached it and I stamped the sentiment from Garden Friends to a strip of cardstock and applied the same way.

A few points were highlighted with a white gel pen and I decided against any further embellishment for this project.

I appreciate you stopping by today, happy crafting.

Pathway and Party On The Farm

Welcome to my blog, my post today combines the Pathway and Party On The Farm stamps by Hello Bluebird Stamps and was coloured entirely with Copic markers (too many to list) in the no-line style.

The Pathway background scene stamp was stamped with Simon Says Stamp Premium Dye Ink in Fog on to a panel of Copic friendly cardstock.  This ink is very pale and disappears when you colour, which I did Copic markers.  I dotted in some white flowers in the background bushes with a white gel pen and a few dots of white in the tufts of grass in the foreground too.

On more Copic friendly cardstock I stamped the cuties from Party On The Farm with the same ink and again Copic coloured, finishing with some highlighted points with the gel pen again.   The tree stump and birthday cake are from Moose and Friends.  All images were fussy cut and applied to the scene with dimensional foam tape.

I decided that no further embellishment was needed and resisted the temptation to have a small Happy Birthday sentiment on the front of the card, it is instead stamped inside which makes the scene on the front look like something from a children's storybook I think.

I really appreciate you stopping by to read my blog today - happy crafting!

Meadow Bunnies & Pathway - Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hi!  Today's card for Hello Bluebird Stamps uses the new Pathway background scene stamp and some more of those Meadow Bunnies that I used in a recent card but couldn't fit them all in!

To create this card i stamped the Pathway background stamp onto Copic friendly cardstock and coloured it with Copic markers.  I fussy cut along the horizon (including the tree) and backed it with foam tape and applied it over a panel that I had softly ink blended with Seedless Preserves and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks.  For this soft look I used Clarity Stencil Brushes which gives you a pastel version of these highly saturated inks.

On more Copic cardstock I stamped and Copic coloured my bunnies and the balloon and party hat and bows come from the new sets Party On The Farm and Little Painters.  They were fussy cut, backed with one or two layers of foam tape and applied to this dimensional scene.

I dotted in texture and floral dots too and stamped the sentiment from Party On The Farm and backed it with foam tape and adhered.

To finish the scene points were highlighted with a white gel pen and water droplet type embellishments were glued in place using Ranger Multi Medium Matte which dries perfectly clear which is what you need with these clear accents.  The whole panel was applied to a 110lb cover, white cardstock card base and with that the card was complete.

Happy crafting!

Meadow Bunnies - New Release from Hello Bluebird Stamps

The long wait is over and Hello Bluebird has a brand new release available to purchase, it will go live at 7pm MST on April, 9th.  Be there!

The first card I'm previewing features 'Meadow Bunnies' and the background is called 'Pathway'.

This card features a watercolour painted background.  I stamped the Pathway image using Ink on 3 and watercolour painted using Kuretake Zigs and Tombow ABTs for a no line affect.  This panel was then die cut with a stitched edge from my stash and attached to a card base.

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped out my images from Meadow Bunnies.   I coloured them with Copic markers E41, E42, E55 and E44.  I blushed their cheeks with R30 and R20 and highlighted some points with a white gel pen.  They were fussy cut (dies are coming a little later) and backed them with either a single or double layer of foam tape and applied them to the background scene.

I used a bright orange gel pen and dotted in a few 'flowers' and stamped and applied the sentiment.  I decided for this one no other embellishment was necessary and with that the card was complete.

Here's a little look at my bunny colouring below.  I didn't manage to get all of those cuties on to my card so I'm sure the extras will crop up in a future project!

Take a moment and visit the Hello Bluebird blog today and comment for a chance at winning the GIVEAWAY which will be announced just prior to the release.
