Garden Party - Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hello and welcome to my blog if you haven't visited before and welcome back if you're a regular!   Today I'm sharing a card for Hello Bluebird Stamps featuring their GORGEOUS Garden Party stamp set from the most recent release which will pair flawlessly with the formerly released Garden Friends.  Read on for how this card was made.

To construct this card I first took a slimline panel and ink blended it with the new Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink and Worn Lipstick at the bottom and leaving a hazy horizon for a soft look.   Next I die cut the Gallery Frame #5 die twice.  Once with white cardstock and once again with Sno Cone cardstock by My Favorite Things which I find pairs nicely with Speckled Egg.  I combined the inner and outer frames, backed them with foam tape and adhered it to the background panel.

On Copic friendly paper I stamped all of the elements from Garden Party using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.   I used Copic markers to colour my images which I then die cut using the coordinating dies and applied them to the scene with foam tape to create a flowing sequence of characters interacting with one another so that the eye keeps moving.

To finish up I stamped the mini sentiments 'chirp' and 'tweet' and my larger sentiment went inside the card.  I also used a fluorescent pink gel pen to put in tufts of grass and a white gel pen to add some textured dots around the grass.  I fixed the whole panel to a slimline card based (3 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches) and with that the card was complete!

See you next time and happy crafting!

I'm back today with a new card for Hello Bluebird Stamps.  This card uses the 'Come On In' stamps and the Ocean Waves scene die (vertical).

I started out by die cutting a slimline panel using the vertical die.  The scene falls apart like a jigsaw puzzle and I ink blended all the little pieces before reassembling it within its own frame, glueing down each piece one by one and then that panel was adhered to a white cardstock base.

I stamped out all the images from 'Come On In' on to Copic friendly cardstock.    I coloured the images with Copic markers and highlighted points with a white gel pen.  I used the coordinating dies to die cut each image which I then backed with dimensional foam tape and applied.

When I had glued down the water sections I had the left the top line of each wave unglued so that I could tuck my characters into the water, you'll definitely want this option with this stamp set.

Finally I wanted to put some sparkle into the water so I chose some flat 4 point star sequins and adhered them randomly in the water portion.  I stamping the little sentiment to a piece of cardstock and applied it  and with that the card was complete.

Happy crafting everyone, I'll be back with something new in a couple of days.

Frightful Little Bits - Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hello, I'm finally getting back to crafting after over 2 months away which was busily spent moving across country in the middle of a pandemic .... I love a challenge!!!!   I'm sharing a new slimline card for Hello Bluebird Stamps using those really not very scary Frightful Little Bits.  The card also uses the Gallery Frame #5 die and in the background I've used the background scene from Storybook Friends.  Read on for how I made it.

I ink blended a slimline panel with Dried Marigold and Weathered Wood Distress Inks and I splattered on some more of the Weathered Wood.   I then used the background image from Storybook and repeatedly stamped in full or in part and created a little background.  I stamped using Versamark Ink and heat embossed in white.   This panel was applied to a slimline card base.

I die cut the Gallery Frame #5 die from sturdy white cardstock.  Backed it with dimensional foam tape and layered it over the background.   I like a lot of movement in my cards especially in the Autumn and Winter scenes and so I dotted in stars and drew in some 4 point stars using a gel pen and added a few 4 point star sequins adhering with glue.   This makes it so much fun when the card is handled.  What can I say, I like a little sparkle in my life!

On Copic friendly cardstock the images from Frightful Little Bits were stamped using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.  I coloured them in pastel Copic colours and highlighted a few points with a white gel pen and then die cut, backed with foam tape and applied them to the scene.

I hope you have a fun Halloween, happy crafting and I'll see you next time!

Pumpkin Charm - Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hello!   I'm happy to share a new card featuring a new stamp image called 'Pumpkin Charm' created for the Autumn/Halloween season and illustrated by Stacey Yacula for Purple Onion Designs.   Read on for shipping offer!

Purple Onion is running a shipping offer with FREE domestic shipping on orders of $75.00 or more.   The discount will automatically be taken off during checkout.  International Customers will receive a $7.00 discount on shipping for orders $75.00 and over.  The coupon code INTLSHIP will need to be entered at checkout to receive the discount.

To make this card I've used The Front Door image by Stacey Yacula from a former release.  It was stamped with Memento Ink in Espresso Truffle  and then coloured with Copic markers.   This panel was adhered to an A2 card base and I used the Gallery Frame #4 die by Hello Bluebird Stamps to frame it out.  This was applied with dimensional foam tape behind it to lift it up.

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped the new image and had fun Copic colouring the cute characters and that lovely pumpkin.   I fussy cut the image and backed it with foam tape and applied it including the little pieces cut out of the pumpkin.

Finally I stamped the Happy Autumn sentiment with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it in a warm Copper tone and applied the strip to the scene at a jaunty angle for fun with foam tape behind it.

I think we can agree that Pumpkin Charm is a great addition to your Stacey Yacula collection of stamps.

Thank you for stopping by today to read my blog, I'll be back soon with something new.

Happy crafting!

McGregor's Garden - Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hello!   I have a new card for Hello Bluebird Stamps today that uses the Sunshine Scene Die in a new and fun way.  The card also features some of the cuties from McGregor's Garden.

I decided to switch to using the normally landscape Sunshine Scene Die to portrait mode and die cut an A2 panel of white cardstock.   Also cut mounds of grass using the cloud portion.  I ink blended each section and put the jigsaw puzzle back together again, adhering each piece one by one to a panel of cardstock.   I stamped in some little tufts of grass and framed out the background using the Gallery Frame #1 Die, cut from more white cardstock.  This was backed with dimensional foam tape and applied.

I stamped the bunnies and birds from McGregor's Garden on to Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil.   I watercolour painted the images using Kuretake Zigs and then die cut, backed with foam tape and applied.  Points were highlighted with a white gel pen.

To finish the project I die cut a cloud from the Maverick coordinating die set and applied it with the sentiment stamped on it and the scattered blooms are from Banner Buddies.

Happy crafting!
