Party On The Farm - Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hello!  Thank you for coming by the blog today to see my latest card for Hello Bluebird Stamps that uses the Party On the Farm and Farmland stamp sets.

This card features no-line Copic colouring for both the background image and the characters in the foreground.   To that end I stamped all images on to Copic friendly cardstock using the Simon Says Stamp Premium Dye Ink in 'Fog'.   For the background panel I fussy cut along the horizon line and ink blended a panel which would be layered behind.  I Copic coloured the Farmland scene then adhered it to the sky background panel.

The sentiment from 'Besties' was stamped with Memento Ink in 'London Fog' and the panel set aside.  I coloured all of the farm animals in the no-line style, fussy cut and backed them with regular and thick dimensional foam tape and arranged and adhered them into the scene.

Finally, I used one of the outer skinny frames from any of the Hello Bluebird scene dies, die cutting it from sturdy 110lb white cover weight cardstock, backing it with foam tape and applying it to finish off the scene.  Card complete!   Happy crafting everyone.

Party On The Farm - Hello Bluebird Stamps

Hay there!  Pardon the pun but there's a 'Party On The Farm' and you are all invited.   Also used here is the new Farmland background stamp both by Hello Bluebird Stamps.

I'd recently sat down to do a whole bunch of colouring of this Party On the Farm stamp set and for this card I chose those images that I'd stamped in brown ink and Copic coloured.  Afterwards they were fussy cut.

I love to make cards with a limited colour palette and I wanted to create a simple look to set off the pastel colours and so I merely stamped the Farmland background with brown ink on to white cardstock.  This panel was applied to a sturdy white cardstock base and I framed out the scene with a simple skinny die cut frame from my stash using a pale pink cardstock.  This was backed with foam tape to pop it up a little.

The characters were all backed with foam tape, arranged and adhered and the card was finished by tucking in the stamped sentiment and adding a few sparkling clear sequins for a little twinkle.

I appreciate you stopping by my blog today, happy crafting!

Party On The Farm - Hello Bluebird Stamps

We're on Day 2 of Previews for the April 9th new release from Hello Bluebird Stamps.  Today I'm revealing 'Party On The Farm' with the new 'Farmland' background stamp.

This slimline card started with a panel of smooth cardstock that I stamped with the Farmland background scene stamp using grey ink.  I think brushed on Cracked Pistachio and Tattered Rose Distress Inks and applied the panel to the card base I'd prepared.

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped my Party On The Farm cuties using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.  I Copic coloured the images using about 50 different colours so please excuse me if I don't list them all lol.  I then fussy cut the images (dies are coming later), backed them with foam tape and applied the to the scene.

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen, the sentiment was stamped in my Misti and a few sparkling clear sequins finish out the scene.

If you find background stamps and all that colouring intimidating this is a good solution to just stamp in grey, brown or black, keep it neutral and then add some subtle colour over the top.  I've long used this method and return to it frequently.  You should try it!
