Cloud Mat Die with Cupids - Avery Elle Stamps

Hi!   I'm gearing up for Valentine's Day with my latest card for Avery Elle Stamps.   My card today features the new Cloud Mat Die together with the new Cupids stamp set.

I die cut an A2 panel of white cardstock using the Cloud Mat Die and adhered it to a white cardstock base.  I die cut a panel of pale pink cardstock using the Postage Stamp Die, I backed this die cut with foam tape and applied it to the background.

I die cut the Cloud Mat one more time from 110lb white cardstock.   I chose some of the clouds this created and applied Versamark Ink to these and then dunked them in Wow! Embossing Powder in 'Salsa' and heat embossed using my heat tool.  The clouds were backed with foam tape and applied to the scene.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock the Cupids and sentiments were stamped using Ranger Archival Ink in  Potting Soil.   They were watercolour painted using Tombow ABT's in 977 and 772 and Kuretake Zigs in Light Beige, Pale Pink, Haze Blue, Warm Gray 2 and Orange.  They were die cut and applied to the scene with more foam tape.

I felt no other embellishment was required given how glittery the clouds are so I just highlighted a few points with a white gel pen and then the card was complete.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, happy crafting!

Seasonal Simple Sentiments with Santa Bear - Avery Elle

Hey there, I'm glad you stopped by today because I'm sharing a card that highlights the new and essential sentiment set called Seasonal Simple Sentiments by Avery Elle.  I have used this set in conjunction with the new Santa Bear stamp set.  Also included in the card are snowy hills created using Dotted Borders Die and all framed out using the Postage Stamp Die.

This card started with a background panel that was trimmed to A2 size and was created from a subtle beige with white snowflake design that is found in the new 6 x 6 'The Holiday Collection' paper pad.  I die cut two hills with the borders die and ink blended the edges to antique them for my mildly retro look.   I then die cut the postage stamp frame and recessed the hills within it, adhering together on the reverse and then apply to the background panel which in turn was affixed to a sturdy 110lb white cardstock base.

On Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped my images from Santa Bear using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil.  I watercolour painted everything using Kuretake Zigs in Oatmeal, Mid Brown, Mid Gray, Green, Wine Red and Light Pink.  Images were die cut, backed with foam tape and adhered into position.

On some slate gray cardstock I stamped the sentiments using Versamark Ink and heat embossed in super fine white embossing powder.  Each sentiment strip was backed with more foam tape and applied at playful angles.

Time for the finishing touches which basically included using Stickles in 'Crystal' to add a glittered finish to Santa Bear's hat, the greenery behind him, the tree stump he sits upon and the shadow under the bunny waiting his turn.  Finally I used white Nuvo Drops to drop in some dimensional snowfall.

Thanks so much for coming by to read about this card today, I'll be back before you know it with a new project.

Stuck On You - Avery Elle Stamps

Hello and Happy New Year to each and every one of you!  My first card of 2019 features the new Stuck On You mini stamp set with coordinating dies.  Yes, it's time to think about Valentine's Day!!!!

My background was created by ink blending Distress Inks in Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled glass using my Clarity Stencil Brushes onto white cardstock.  I applied this blended panel to my 110lb white cardstock base.  I die cut the Postage Stamp frame and the Photo Mat die from more white cardstock.  The frame was applied with foam tape and then with the Photo Mat I ink blended certain portions of it again using Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled Glass so that everything would tone with the background.

I reassembled the Photo Mat scene taping it together on the reverse then adding more foam tape and sticking it down at a playful angle.  The speech bubble is part of the Photo Mat die, so I die cut it and stamped my sentiment with Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil.  This too was applied with foam tape.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped my two cactus images again with the archival ink.  They were watercolour painted using my Kuretake Zigs then highlighted with a Uni-Ball Signo white gel pen and applied with foam tape.

The finishing touch was the application of some toning sequins.   Card complete!

Happy crafting everybody and all good things in 2019 for you and yours!

Party Fox - Avery Elle Stamps

Hello and thanks for coming by to my blog today where I'm sharing a new card featuring Party Fox from the latest Avery Elle release.

For this card I ink blended a background panel using my Clarity Stencil Brushes.  Colours used are Distress Inks in Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade.  I stamped the sentiment using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil and then applied this panel to my 110lb white cardstock base.  Next I took another panel of white cardstock and die cut it twice using each of the dies from Postage Stamp.  I adhered the two together on the reverse then applied foam tape and applied the double frame to the card.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped all of my images again using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil.  I watercolour painted everything using Kuretake Zigs, highlighted some points with a Uni-Ball Signo white gel pen then die cut everything and used foam tape to apply them to the scene.

The final touch was to simply grab a silver glitter gel pen and dot in the tiniest dots of sparkle for a pretty glint when the card is handled.

Hope you like the card, I appreciate you coming along to read the blog today, see you next time!

Floating Wishes

Hi, this is Nicky back with you today, this time I'm sharing a card using Floating Wishes from the new summer release together with a coordinating die set.

I created a card panel of smooth watercolour cardstock, ink blended it with distress ink and then distressed it with water and paint splashes.   I stamped the thank you sentiment from the set 4 times to create the illusion of ribbons that spell out words.  The panel was then die cut using Postage Stamp Elle-ments and the two cuts were reassembled, adhered together on the reverse side then applied to the card base with a layer of craft foam sandwiched in between.

The four heart balloons were stamped with archival ink onto more smooth watercolour cardstock and watercolour painted then applied with dimensional foam tape.  The whole scene was finished out with a selection of toning sequins.

Thanks for stopping by to read, see you next time!
