Playful Puppies - Pretty Pink Posh

I have a new card today for Pretty Pink Posh featuring a favourite stamp set Playful Puppies which I accessorised with images from Birthday Friends, the Happy Birthday Script Dies for the sentiment and the clouds are from Rainy Days Coordinating Dies.

This is a slimline card.  The dimensions are 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.  From a panel of cardstock I created the card base and a decorative panel which I masked off and then ink blended with Distress Ink in Broken China and then splashed a little watered down ink to distress it.  Once dry the mask was removed and the panel was attached to the card base and set to one side.

Using one of the dies from Stitched Borders 1 Die I die cut 3 'hills' and ink blended them using Distress Ink in Mowed Lawn and applied them to the card.

I die cut the two clouds and applied them and also I die cut the Happy Birthday die 3 times, adhering each one to the next in a stack and finally glueing them to the scene.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped my puppy and other images from Birthday Friends using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil.  I do not have the coordinating dies and so the images were fussy cut and then watercolour painted using Kuretake Zigs in Mid Gray, Light Gray, Gray Brown, Beige, Dark Gray, May Green, Cobalt Blue and Light Pink.  Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and they were adhered to the scene popped up on dimensional foam tape.

I finished up the card by applying a few jewel embellishments by Pretty Pink Posh.

Pretty Pink Posh Design Team Announcement!

Hello Friends!!!

I'm delighted to share with you the news that I am staying on with Pretty Pink Posh for a third year and my new term starts today!  Such a lovely company to design for and today I've made one of my 'Slimline' cards to make my announcement.  I've combined Koala Friends with Birthday Friends.



This is a slimline card measuring 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches with a panel cut at 8.2 inches x 3.2 inches.  You can purchase envelopes for a card with these dimensions - search for Slimline, Invitation, #9 or Size 9.



I ink blended my background using a Clarity Stencil Brush and Distress Ink in Mowed Lawn and Mermaid Lagoon.  I used a hill stencil (of which there are many on the market).  I stamped the sentiment and then backed the panel with white craft foam and adhered it to the base.   Using craft foam not only nicely lifts your panel but it also helps cards with embellishments survive the rigours of the mailing system!



My images were all stamped on Bristol Smooth cardstock using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil.  I watercolour painted them all using Kuretake Zigs.  Koalas were painting using Grey No.91 and Mid Gray No.96.  Three other colours were used for the accessories and they were Yellow No.50, Light Pink No.26 and Light Green No.41.  Certain areas were highlighted with a Uniball Signo white gel pen.



The images were then either die cut or fussy cut and applied with dimensional foam tape.  I embellished my card with Pretty Pink Posh jewels as seen in the image above and since I had one remaining painted image I decided to add it to the inside of my card as a cute little surprise.

I don't know about you but I am certainly looking forward to lots of new products from Pretty Pink Posh in 2019!

Birthday Friends by Pretty Pink Posh

Hey everyone, just swinging by to share my latest card for Pretty Pink Posh.  I made this simply for the joy of it and Birthday Friends is one of my top favourites of all the stamp sets so far released by PPP.



In brief the card starts with a 110lb Neenah cardstock base.  Upon this is layered a panel of Insulation Pink from MFT Stamps and then a smaller panel of Strathmore Bristol Smooth which I ink blended softly in ombré style using Distress Ink and then added some paint splashes of the same colour.  I die cut and applied the 'ground', there is a glittered silver panel behind the Insulation Pink panel.



On more Bristol Smooth I stamped the children, their hats, balloons, cakes and gifts and hand painted them with Kuretake Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I highlighted some points with a Uni-ball Signo white pen and then adhered everything into position using varying depths of Scotch dimensional foam tape.  Each party hat was adorned with a tiny pompom and I used some of the gorgeous 'jewels' by Pretty Pink Posh to add that necessary sparkle and movement that I love to incorporate into most of my projects.

The sentiment was stamped with Archival Ink and that completed this little project which I hope you have enjoyed.  Here's one last look .....
