Hello Bluebird Stamps - Balloon Buddies

It's RELEASE DAY at Hello Bluebird Stamps.  You can buy all the gorgeous new products at 7pm Mountain Time TONIGHT!  Shop early to avoid disappointment!   My card today previews the really darling new stamp set called Balloon Buddies AND the new A7 Nesting Dies.   That's right A7!!!  Hello Bluebird is going big with this release .... lots more real estate for all those cute Hello Bluebird characters and big scenes and of course big alpha dies too!

Using the different A7 Nesting Dies, I created several layers with white or pale pink cardstock.  The pink panel was backed with white craft foam to lift it up.

The main decorative panel was ink blended with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, fading away to nothing at the bottom and was glued to the pink panel.   All of this was set aside for a while.

I stamped the images from Balloon Buddies with pale grey dye ink and coloured the critters and balloons in the no-line style using Copic markers.   Here is my colour palette:-

Bear - E44, E43, E42, E41, E40
Bunny - T1, T2, C00
Fox - E34, E13, E11, E01
Hat - E44,  E43, E42, E41
Blues - B00, B000, B0000
Pinks - RV10, RV000, R 0000
Yellows - Y02, Y00, Y0000
Mauves - V01, V000, V0000
Mints - BG11, G000, BG0000, BG70
Balloon Shadows - T1, T0
Cheeks were blushed with a PrismaColor pencil.

The images were die cut using the coordinating dies.   They were backed with foam tape and applied to the scene.

A few points were highlighted with a white gel pen then I mounted the layered decorative panel to a 110lb white cover weight cardstock card base (I always use this for all my cards because I like a sturdy and substantial feel to my cards.

The sentiments were stamped with coloured inks and are from the brand new Big Greetings stamp set for which you can also buy coordinating dies that beautifully cut out the words.    I die cut several more layers of white cardstock for each coordinating die and glued them in stacks and applied the sentiments to the card.

Finally I used Nuvo Drops in Simply White to add some bubbly interest into the sky.   Card complete!

Please visit the Hello Bluebird blog today if you haven't already and comment on each preview day post for a chance to be the lucky winner of a gift certificate in time for the new release going live.  Winners will be announced on their blog usually about 2 hours prior to the release going live.
