My Favorite Things - April Card Kit - Heart Burst Hellos

The April card kit is now available at My Favorite Things and I have a final card to inspire you.  I don't know if you caught my post yesterday (scroll down if you didn't see it) but today's card uses pieces left from yesterday's card that features stamps and dies from the Heart Burst Hellos release.

To create this CAS card I first used the Slimline Starter Die-namics to create the white background panel which I backed with foam tape and applied to a full size white panel.

My card yesterday used some of the internal pieces to create a rainbow heart and so I was left with the delicate heart shapes.   So many ideas came to mind for how to use them but I decided that since I like the long sentiment I've used, I would lay them out in a group of 3, I had 6 die cuts and I layered them slightly offset and only adhered in the middle of each heart so that a little light gets in between each layer.

The sentiment actually comes in 2 lines and so I used the long sentiment strip from the Slimline Starter and I only inked up the first line and stamped and only the second line and stamped.   This was applied with more dimensional foam tape.    A quick and simple card.

Thanks for stopping by and happy shopping!

My Favorite Things - April Card Kit Countdown Day 1 - Heart Burst Hellos

As promised I'm back with a new card for My Favorite Things, featuring the April Card Kit called Heart Burst Hellos which you can buy tomorrow at 10am April 20th.

This card kit lends itself so nicely to 'Clean & Simple' designs and so with that in mind my card is in that style today.

The card features the Heart Burst Die-namics which I die-cut once from white cardstock and then 6 more times from coloured MFT cardstock, it is a lot of fun to pick out your colours.  Tomorrow's card will use parts not used in today's card!  Included in the kit is a solid heart Die-namic and I used that to die cut white cardstock.  I glued the white divided frame on to the ever so slightly bigger solid white heart I'd prepared and then I glued in my coloured cardstock pieces.   This heart was adhered to a white cardstock panel that is smaller than A2 using dimensional foam tape.

Included in the card kit is the lovely 'Hey' Die-namic with a little heart included.  I die cut white cardstock using this die 4 times to make a nice chunky dimensional sentiment.  Each one was glued to the next before being glued to the main heart and I also added the little white heart the same way.

The smaller but longer sentiment is from the Heart Burst Hellos stamp set.  I loved this particular sentiment but the set itself has 13 different ones to choose from.   I stamped this with Poppin' Pink Premium Die Ink to a strip of cardstock and applied with foam tape to keep up with the dimension of the big 'Hey'!

To finish up, I backed the white background panel with white craft foam and then applied it to my A2 white card base.

Come back tomorrow to see the CAS card I made with some of the unused die cut pieces from this card and happy crafting!

My Favorite Things - Kit Countdown Day 2 - Heart Burst Hellos

Hello!    Today is the My Favorite Things Countdown Day 2 of the April card kit called Heart Burst Hellos.   You can buy the kit April 20th at 10am.

I've always loved pinks and gold together and so I used Princess Pink Prestige Cardstock and I die cut the back panel using the A2 Stitched Rectangles STAX and I applied this to my white card base.

A second panel was die cut  using a smaller size from the STAX set and I stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed in gold using the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots background stamp.    This was backed with foam tape and applied to the larger pink panel.

I then grabbed the Heart Burst Die-namics included in the set and using a shim I die cut this beautiful shape using metallic gold cardstock from my stash.   I attached this die cut with just a little dimensional foam tape in the centre.

To finish up this simple and elegant card I used the same Princess Pink cardstock and the Skinny Strips Die-namics to create a sentiment strip and I again used Versamark Ink to stamp the sentiment from the Heart Burst Hellos stamp set and heat embossed in gold.   This strip was attached again with a small piece of foam tape for some beautiful and airy dimension.   Card complete!

Come back tomorrow and I'll have a very different take on this new card kit, I hope you join me then and meanwhile - happy crafting!
