My Favorite Things - February Vault Release Day

 

The February Vault Release from MFT is now available for purchase and I have a second card featuring dies from the newly released selection of products.  Here's what I've used:-

Rainbow Plaid 6 x 6 Paper Pad

To make the card I first created the patterned panel and I lay this over a toning blue panel and lastly a white panel which I glued to my card base.

I created a circle of cardstock and ink blended it then splashed with water and then with Perfect Pearls mixed with water.  I glued this in place then used the Stitched Circle Frames Die-namics to die cut white cardstock to create the circular frame.  I backed this with foam tape and set it to one side.

I stamped the images from Books & Buddies using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.  I coloured the images with tones taken from the plaid paper.  Here's what I used:-

Bunnies - E44, E43, E31, E42, W00

Blushes - R22, R20, R00

Yellow - Y19, Y15, C1, C0

Pink - RV17, RV06, RV04, C1, C0

Blue - B14, B04, B01, C1, C0

Orange - YR09, YR04, Y38, C1, C0

I glued down the piles of books main image directly and then added the other elements with foam tape.

To finish up I applied the circular frame that I prepared earlier and I stamped and applied the sentiment.

The MFT Stamps June release is now available for purchase and to celebrate I've made this card using products from the release.  Here's what I've used:-

A2 Stitched Rectangles Stax Set 1 Die-namics

I started by creating my different panels.   I used different size dies from the Stax die-namics to create the plaid panel which was glued to a white A2 panel and the card base, then a smaller white panel glued directly followed by an ink blended panel where I also stamped and heat embossed in white using the new Ocean Currents BG stamp.  The ink blending was done with MFT's Cornflower blue ink.   This panel was backed with white craft foam and adhered.

Next, I stamped and coloured the sweet ocean cuties from Oceans Of Fun.  Here are the colours I used that tone with the plaid paper:-

Seahorse - G09, G02, YG41

Starfish - Y19, Y15, Y06

Blowfish - YR07, Y38, Y19, Y32

Pink Fish - RV17, RV09, RV06, C1

Narwhal - B63, BV01, BV00, BV000, C3, C1, C0

Mini Fish - G00, G000

Blushes - R22, R21, R20, R00

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen then I die cut and applied either directly with glue or with dimensional foam tape.

To finish up I die cut the bubbles from the stamp set and glued them in place (fiddly but worth it)!  I also stamped the sentiment on a sentiment strip and applied with more foam tape.  Card done!

This is Countdown Day 2 to the June 13th release by MFT Stamps and today I'm revealing the new One-of-a-Kind Friend stamp set.  Here's what I've used:-

A2 Stitched Rectangles Stax (Set 1) Die-namics

I created a panel from the colourful new Rainbow Plaid paper pad and using the the Stitched Rectangles.  This panel was glued to an A2 white panel and to the card base.

I used another size in the Stax set to create a second smaller panel which I stencil ink blended using the new Tiny Clouds stencil.  I used MFT inks to do this, pulling colours from the paper pad and doing a sort of rainbow wash.  I backed this panel with white craft foam and adhered it to the plaid background.

I stamped three of the unicorns from the One-of-a-Kind Friend stamp set and coloured them with the following Copic marker combinations:-

Blue Unicorn - C3, C1, C0, C00, B41, B91, BG0000

Green Unicorn - C3, C1, C0, C00, YG11, G20, YG0000

Yellow Unicorn - C3, C1, C0, C00, Y02, Y000, Y0000

Flamingo Inflatable - RV63, RV52, RV10, C3, C1, C0, C00

Blushes - RV63, RV52, RV10

I used a white gel pen to highlight a few areas and then die cut with the coordinating die-namics and applied with dimensional tape.

To complete the scene, I stamped the sentiment on a sentiment strip and applied with foam tape and a few clear crystal embellishments finished it off with a sparkle.
