Hello Bluebird Stamps - Color Challenge #hellobluebirdcolorchallenge2

Welcome to my blog friends where today I am sharing a new card to inspire you to join the latest Color Challenge at Hello Bluebird Stamps.   This is an Instagram challenge and you must tag your submission on Instagram using this unique hashtag #hellobluebirdcolorchallenge2 - find below the Color Board and below that my card and all the details.   The challenge is open to all worldwide, you can enter as many projects as you wish and the winner is randomly selected so that everyone has a fair chance to win a $50 gift certificate to Hello Bluebird.

For my project I have used:-

I die cut the Birch Trees from 110lb cover weight cardstock - using this nice sturdy cardstock will greatly improve your odds of reassembling the die cut pieces without warping!  I ink blended the grass with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink and I used a little Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Ink to add subtle interest to the birch trunks.   I ink blended another slimline panel using Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink and then reassembled the Birch Trees pieces laying them in place on the blue background starting with the frame and then filling the space from the grass on up!

I ink blended a scrap of white cardstock with a dark to light fade of Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and I die cut using the leaf die included in the High Rise Tree Scene Die.   This provided me with a selection of different coloured leaves which I glued into position.

I die cut the Hello Friend Die from tomato red cardstock stuck on top of sticky foam sheets and applied the sentiment in position by peeling off the backing.

I stamped the images from Next Door Gnomes and I coloured them with the following Copic markers to closely follow the color challenge theme.

Peachy Reds - R08, R05, R22, R21
Orangey Yellows - Y19, Y15, Y13
Greens - G17, G09, G14
Turquoise Blues - BG49, BG13, BG32, G00

I used the W series of Copic greys to colour boots and gloves and to shade the other colours to a lovely richness.

I die cut the images using the coordinating dies and applied them to the scene using dimensional foam tape.

I very much appreciate you stopping by my blog today and I really hope you enter the challenge, best of luck with your submission.
