My Favorite Things - April Release Countdown Day 2

We're inching closer to the Tuesday March 13th My Favorite Things and my slimline card today reveals something from THREE brand new stamp sets, namely, Spring Wreath, Spring Songbird and Tweet Memories.   Read on for how I made this card.

First of all I used the brand new Watercolor Wash Stencil and Distress Oxide Ink in Peacock Feathers to create the background panel.   I used the Slimline Starter Die-namics to die cut the panel which I backed with foam tape and applied to a slimline card base.  I set this to one side.

I stamped the images I chose from the 3 stamp sets and used Copic markers to colour them all in vivid and happy hues.   I used a white gel pen to highlight one or two spots and then used the coordinating die-namics for each stamp set to die cut the images.

Images were backed with foam tape and applied to the scene.

There are some lovely sentiments included with these three stamp sets but I chose the one I did from Spring Songbird and I stamped them in two parts on to die cuts from the Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics.   These sentiments were backed with more foam tape and applied in the spaces I'd left for them.

All that was left was to apply a few sparkling clear sequins which I tucked into discrete areas of the card for some subtle interest.

I hope you'll come back for the final day of the Countdown tomorrow, I appreciate you taking the time to visit my blog today and hope you're excited for the release.
