Pink and Main April Release - Fancy Oval with Bows Dies

Welcome to my blog and my fifth and final card showcasing products from the April release by Pink and Main.  If you have missed my previous four blogposts for this sweet release you may wish to continue scrolling after this one as these were back to back posts.

For this card I used the Fancy Oval with Bows Dies, the Page Turner stamp set and coordinating dies and also the Library Card stamp.

I took a panel of white cardstock and repeat stamped the Library Card image using Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink.  I then came in with Salvaged Patin Distress Oxide Ink and softly ink blended a focal point by coming in around the edges.  I distressed the panel with splatters of Solar Spray in Crocodile Tears and also splatter on some white acrylic paint loosened with a drop or two of water.  I applied this panel to my card base and framed it out with a white die cut created with a die from my stash. This was popped up on foam tape to create dimension.

I took some toning blue cardstock and die cut using the Fancy Ovals die.  I die cut once more from white cardstock and glued the blue to the white.  I also die cut some Lawn Fawn floral paper so that I had the inside cut to insert within the oval frame once I had glued it to the background.

I stamped the two images from Page Turner using black ink and coloured with the following Copic colours:-

Hedgehog - E43, E42, E40 (prickles) E43, E31, E40, R000 (body)
Mouse - C3, C1, C0
Brown - E43, E42, E31, E40
Teal - BG57, BG32, G000
Blushes - R22, R21, R20, R00

Images were die cut, backed with foam tape and applied within the oval frame.

Almost done!  I stamped the sentiment and applied it with foam tape which in turn grounded the mini scene.

For embellishments I added a few clay hearts above the little readers and I used Nuvo Glitter Drops in Aquatic Mist to make 'enamel dots' in the two corners.  I highlighted points with a white gel pen and with that, this card was done!

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate you!

Pink and Main April Release - April Cat

A warm welcome to my blog today and another card for Pink and Main featuring products from their April 17th release.  My card today features their April Cat stamp set which I used with the coordinating die.  The book image in the back behind the cat is called One For The Books which also has a die and behind that I have a background created with the Bunch of Bows Embossing Folder.  The April Cat stamp set is free with a $60 purchase and if you spend $80 you get the coordinating die too! The offer is valid thru April 24th.  You also can just buy it on it's own of course.

I created the embossed background and then softly ink blended it with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink and glued it to my card base.  I framed it out popped up on foam tape using a frame die from my stash.

I stamped the images from the two stamp sets with black ink and and coloured with Copic markers.

Cat - C3, C1, C0, C00
Blush and Pink Books - R22, R21, R20, R00
Green - YG41, YG11, G20
Blue - B32, B21
Brown - E43, E31, E40
Orange - YR02

Images were die cut and I added a little highlighting with a white gel pen.

I used Spellbinders Glaze and Glue and completely glazed the entire 'One For The Books' image and set it aside to dry.  I also glaze the cat's eye.  Once dry, I assembled the scene with foam tape including stamping the sentiment.

A few sparkling clear sequins finished the card.

Thank you for stopping by, I'll be back soon with something new.

Pink and Main April Release - Cozy Shelf

A warm welcome to my blog where I'm sharing a new card for Pink & Main today as we continue to promote their new release which went live on the 17th and which you should definitely check out because it is just so lovely with it's books/reading and bows theme.

My card today uses their new Cozy Shelf stamp set and the coordinating die.

Initially I was going to stamp the bookshelf image but I changed my mind and I simply die cut white cardstock with the bookshelf die.  I backed the outer frame and shelves with foam tape and I used a little Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink on the three pieces that form the back of the unit.

I chose some Lawn Fawn patterned paper for wallpaper and trimmed it to A2 and glued it to my card base, I framed the background using an old MFT frame die from my stash and applied that with foam tape and then I adhered the bookshelf and glued the three ink blended pieces directly through each opening.

I stamped all of the images from Cozy Shelf with black Memento Ink and coloured with combinations of the following Copic markers:-

Girl's Skin - E04, E11, E00
Blush - R22, R21, R20, R00
Hair - E44, E50, E40
Teal - BG49, BG15, G00, BG000
Pink - R22, R21, R20, R00
Beige - E31, E40
White - C3, C1, C0
Leaves - YG41, G20
Cat - C5, C3, C1, C0

Each image was die cut and glued directly on the shelves and the girl and cat images applied with foam tape.

Last but not least a sentiment was chosen from Cozy Shelf, stamped on a sentiment strip and applied also popped up on foam tape.  No embellishments required on this project and so with that it was done!

Thanks for spending some time with me today, it is appreciated!
