Pink & Main - Critters with Flowers

 

Well hello there!  I am guest designing for Pink & Main today and will have a few cards to share over the coming days.

My card today uses Pink & Main's new stamp set Critters with Flowers which is so sweetly illustrated I simply could not resist working with it.  My card also uses their Floral Banner Sentiments and bunches of flowers seen on the left and right of the scene were created with their Floral Banner Dies.

To kick things off I softly ink blended sky and grass using Speckled Egg and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks.

I then stamped the images in black ink and Copic coloured using the following marker combinations:-

Raccoon - T6, T5, T3, T1, C3, C1, C0

Bear - E87, E44, E43, E42, E41

Bunny - E44, E43, E41, E40

Blushes - R22, R21, R00

Terracotta Pot - E35, E11, E000, YG61

Flowers - B41, Y21, FRV1

Leaves - YG01

I die cut the images using the coordinating dies.  I also die cut using some sprigs of leaves and blooms dies from the Floral Banners Die.  I added colour and glued them in little bunches.

To complete the card, I used a die from my stash to create the border.  I stamped the sentiment and then I added the bear with one layer of dimensional foam tape and the Raccoon and Bunny were added with a double layer creating lots of dimension.

Finally, I tucked the gathered bunches of flowers behind the images, glueing in place and I highlighted a little bit with a white gel pen and adding interest to the grass with Copics YG01 and YG06.
