MFT Stamps 'Christmas Poinsettias Card Kit' is now available for purchase! I hope you caught my card yesterday that featured other elements from the kit, if you missed it just keep scrolling after this post and you'll come straight to it. Today's card is all about stamping and it is a great design idea for those of you who want and need to produce many cards for the holidays. You will need a Misti stamping platform or equivalent to achieve this however.
Here's what I've used:-
I created an A2 panel of deep red cardstock and applied this to my prepared card base. I then slightly sized down another A2 panel of white cardstock.
I backed the panel with some removable tape runner tape and placed it in the centre of my Misti stamping platform and I first arranged the Poinsettia images and stamped them. I wanted a distressed look so I only stamped the images once each. If you are mass producing this card then you would take all of your prepared panels, place them one at a time in the same spot in your Misti and stamp them. You would then remove these stamps and replace them with other stamps such as the sprigs and ink them up with a different ink and stamp and then start doing that to each of your other panels. You can probably get this design done in 4 rounds.
I then distressed the panel with splatters of white acrylic paint loosened with a drop of water and I used Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink to ink blend around the edges of the card to add depth to the design. I glued the panel in the centre of the red panel.
I finished up by stamping the sentiment from Christmas Wishes and die cut using the coordinating die-namics and I applied with foam tape. The finishing touch was the addition of Stickles glitter in a lovely opulent red which I applied to the berries for a little sparkling dimension.
Happy shopping everyone and thank you for stopping by my blog today and don't forget to visit and subscribe to the MFT You Tube Channel for endless how-to videos, inspiration and product reveals.
