MFT Stamps - Christmas Poinsettias Card Kit

I'm happy to reveal my first card that was created using the beautiful Christmas Poinsettias Card Kit  from MFT Stamps which you will be able to buy at 10am tomorrow Tuesday September 5th.   This card card was made using the following items from the kit:-

This a lovely and substantial 5 1/2 in square card and I started the process of making it by cutting a 5 1/2 square panel and a 5 inch square panel.   I took the smaller panel and ink blended a soft arc of colour on the left and bottom sides using Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink and I faded it away to virtually nothing as the blending approached the top right hand hand corner.   I distressed this panel with white splatters of watered down acrylic paint, backed it with white craft foam and glued it to the full sized panel which in turn was glued to a card base then set aside whilst I worked on the rest of the card.

Using assorted colours of cardstock from MFT's Prestige cardstock line-up, I used the Christmas Poinsettias Die-namics to die cut all the different elements several times over and assembled the blooms and sprigs of berries and then I backed the blooms with dimensional foam tape (just in the centres of each) and stuck them down.  I then played around tucking leaves and sprigs around and behind the flowers and when I was happy with the arrangement I added a little glue and attached.

To finish up, I splattered a little more paint on the floral arrangement for a dusting of snow and I stamped the sentiment from Christmas Wishes with Versamark Ink and heat embossed using superfine gold embossing powder.  I die cut the sentiment with the coordinating die-namics and applied to the corner of the card using dimensional foam tape.

Come back tomorrow when I'll have a very different card made using items from the kit, it will be a card that is perfection for those of you who have to make many cards and you want  and need to mass produce the same design .... but you will need a Misti stamping platform.  Hope to see you then!
