Hello Bluebird Stamps - Mini Halloween/Fall Release - Preview Day 1

Excited to be previewing the brand new Hello Bluebird release which you can buy tomorrow, September 29th at 7pm MST.   My card today features the brand new Acorn Die and the Peek-a-Boo stamp set.  Here's a complete product list of all the items used to make this project:-

Peek-a-Boo
Peek-a-Boo Die
Autumn Acorn Die

Okay!  Here we go!  I started by created an A2 panel of kraft cardstock.  Over this I layered a white panel created using the deckle die and a slightly smaller white panel also created with the deckle edge but which I'd stamped using the background stamp using Distress Oxide Ink in Crushed Olive.  The white panel was backed with white craft foam and glued to the kraft panel then to the card base and set to one side.

I die cut white cardstock using the Acorn Die and ink blended the parts using Crushed Olive, Ground Espresso, Vintage Photo and Tea Die Distress Oxide Inks.  I splattered with ink then with white acrylic paint loosened with water.   I adhered the two parts of each acorn such that I could tuck a little critter inside of each.

I stamped the critters from Peek-a-Boo and coloured them with the following Copic markers:-

Bunny - E31, E42, E41, E40, W3
Squirrel - W5, W4, W3, W2, W00
Blushes - R22, R20, R00

I highlighted points in each of the animals then tucked them into each acorn, added foam tape to the verse and arranged them adhering to the background of the card.

I ink blended some oak leaves which form part of the Acorn Die using Distress Oxide Inks again in Crushed Olive, Fossilized Amber, Rusty Hinge and Ground Espresso.  I attached them with little pieces of dimensional foam tape.  A white gel pen was used to highlight various points on the acorns and critters.

To finish up, I die cut the word 'thankful' twice over from dark brown cardstock and glued them together then to the card's background and also die cut and applied the 'FOR YOU' words from white and dark brown cardstock.

A few sparkling clear sequins completed this sweet scene.

I'm 'thankful FOR YOU' stopping by my blog today and encourage you to visit the Hello Bluebird blog today if you haven't already.   See the products being revealed and view more inspiration from the Design Team.  Before you leave their blog, leave a comment to be in the running to win one of two $50 gift certificates.  The winners will be announced prior to the release going live.  I'll be back tomorrow with a new project, hope to see you then.
