Here we are at Countdown Day 4 to the May 9th release from MFT Stamps and oh boy are we serving up some serious cuteness today with these adorable raccoons illustrated by Yuzu Illustration. Here are the products used in the making of this card:-
I grabbed an A2 panel of white cardstock and used the stencil and MFT inks in Sour Apple and Field Day to ink blend the undulating grass and then I used the Ripe Raspberry Ink and ink blended coming down from the top and fading to virtually nothing on the horizon. I splashed and distressed the background with a mixture of water and some white acrylic paint and when dry I used the Stax Die-namics to die cut the panel and then stamped the sentiment a couple of times in my Misti which gets me a nice clean and bold image. I backed this panel with white craft foam, adhered it to another A2 white panel and then to my card base.
Time to stamp and colour! I used black ink (I usually use brown) and then I coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:-
Raccoon (dark parts) - T5, T4, T3, T2, T1
Raccoon (white parts) - C5, C3, C1, C0, C00, R000
Racoon Blushes - RV06, RV04, RV10
Log - E87, E44, E43, E42, E40, E50
Coneflowers - RV14, RV23, E44, E42, YG03, YG17
All images were die cut using the coordinating die-namics and highlighted with a white gel pen.
I arranged the blooms and Raccoons and then began to adhered them down using dimensional foam tape.
