There's a new colour challenge at MFT Stamps that I encourage you to enter for a chance to win a gift voucher. Here's my inspiration card and the paint book below that.
To create this simple card I first ink blended a panel of cardstock using the Square Extraordinaire Stencil, with Blue Beyond and Blue Yonder inks by MFT and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink.
I popped the panel in my Misti and stamped the sentiment with Blue Yonder ink.
The panel was backed with white craft foam and then adhered to an A2 white panel of cardstock which in turn was attached to my card base.
In place of the Cement Gray from the paint book I took a little artistic licence and stamped and heat embossed in silver the butterflies from Spread Your Wings. I used 110lb cover weight cardstock so that the delicate butterflies were actually pretty sturdy. Images were die cut using the coordinating die-namics.
I softly folded each butterfly in two and attached them to the ink blended background using a small piece of dimensional foam tape either side of the spine/crease. I think this design would work equally well as an elegant birthday card, a sympathy or get well soon card.
Best of luck to you with your entry and don't forget to visit the My Favorite Things You Tube Channel for endless inspiration and how-to videos - such a great resource!
