Hello Bluebird Stamps - Good Fright & Full Moon

Did you treat yourself to some goodies from the brand new release by Hello Bluebird Stamps?  My card today features the new stamp set Good Fright and I've paired it with the new 5 1/4 inch square scene die called Full Moon.

Firstly I die cut the Full Moon scene die from black cardstock.  When you buy this die it will come with the moon attached and you might think you shouldn't snip it away from the tree but I recommend that you do so that you can do different moon placements for future projects.   The fact that I snipped mine apart and then pretty much placed my moon where it originally was is neither here nor there lol.

I die cut the circle moon from white cardstock  panel measuring 5 1/4 inch square and ink blended it with Twisted Citron and for the background I started with Twisted Citron and then went in with Rustic Wilderness and a little Forest Moss to finish.   I splashed the outer panel with water and blotted it up then recessed the moon back in place and adhered this to my card base.   The black die cut pieces were then backed with foam tape and carefully applied to the background panel.  This was set aside.

I stamped the images from Good Fright and coloured them with Copic markers.  Here's my colour palette:-

Fox - E37, E35, E33
Bunny - E43, E42, E41
Owl. - E44, E43, E42, E41
Costumes - T9, T6, T5, T4, T3, T2, T0 and G20 to cast some light from the moon on them!
Pumpkins - YR04, YR02, E95
Shadow/Shading - T2, T1, T0
Cheeks and Ears - R00, R20, R21

Images were die cut using the coordinating dies then backed with foam tape and applied.

I stamped the sentiments within the moon so that they really popped and used a paint brush dipped in a little Black Soot Distress Ink to brush on the wispy clouds across the moon.

The finishing touch was to get out my white gel pen and highlight the trick or treaters and to add stars in dot and 4 point form to the sky.  With that, the card was completed.

I appreciate you coming by my blog today.  I'll be back with something brand new very soon.  Happy crafting!
