My Favorite Things - June Release Countdown Day 5

Always an exciting time when we start the countdown to the next My Favorite Things release and for June this release will go live at 10am on the 8th.  Mark your calendars!   My card today features the darling new stamp set called 'Definition of Friendship' by a new illustrator to MFT.

To create this simple card I first created a background panel by brushing on Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade.   When I want a very soft ethereal look I use my Clarity Stencil Brushes.  I used some Spun Sugar loosened with a drop of water to splash the background with colour.   This panel was applied to my white cardstock base.

I stamped the images from 'Definition of Friendship' on to Copic friendly cardstock and I coloured the images with Copic markers ..... such lovely images to colour by the way!   I used the coordinating Die-namics to die cut the images and I backed them with foam tape and applied to the background.

I framed out the scene simply using A2 Rectangle Frames, backing the die cut with foam tape and applying.

I then used Essential Stitched Sentiment Die-namics to create my sentiment strip onto which.  I stamped one of the two lovely sentiments included in the stamp set.   This too was applied with foam tape.

I used Glossy Accents to turn their shoes into shiny patent leather and the hearts received the same treatment as did the pink hair barrette and with great restraint I added just 3 sparkling clear sequins to finish the card.   To know me is to know that I do love some twinkle!

You should definitely visit MFT's so that you can see more of what is being revealed today and comment for a chance to win a $75 gift voucher!

Happy crafting and please come back tomorrow for Countdown Day 4!
