We have another Color Challenge #165 for you at My Favorite Things and I hope you will play along for a chance to win a $50 gift voucher! Here is my inspiration card and find below it the colour palette you'll be working with.
To create my card I first grabbed a panel of white cardstock and I used Washi tape to tape off a line. I used Jalapeño Popper and Prickly Pear Premium Dye Inks to ink blend above the washi line. I splattered the ink with water and blotted up to create some interest. I carefully removed the washi tape and I centred and stamped the sentiment from Mice Day below the line using my Misti.
I used the A2 Stitched Rectangles STAX to trim down this panel and give it the faux stitched edge.
On Copic friendly cardstock the characters I needed from Mice Day were stamped and I used Copic markers to colour everything using the limited colour palette. I used the low number W Copics to delicately colour the mice since I wanted them to be white mice so all they needed was some subtle shadow detail but of course a little blush on the cheeks and in the ears was necessary.
I used the coordinating Die-namics to die cut my images. Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and then they were backed with dimensional foam tape and applied to the background.
To finish I just adhered 4 sparkling clear sequins in two different sizes. The decorative panel was then adhered directly to an A2 panel of Jalapeño Popper Prestige Cardstock which nicely framed the scene with a beautiful deep green. This in turn was attached to a sturdy white cardstock base. Card complete!
I hope you choose to join in for a chance to win! Happy crafting and the best of luck to you!
Adorable images and adorable card.
