My Favorite Things - April Release Countdown Day 3

Hello!   We find ourselves at the halfway mark of the countdown to the My Favorite Things April 13th release which is packed full of gorgeousness!!!  My card today features the brand new stamp set 'Wheelie Great Friend'.   Read on for all the details!

To create this card I first stamped my images from Wheelie Great Friend and Copic coloured them and then used the coordinating Die-namics to die cut.   I set these aside whilst I prepared the rest of the card.

I ink blended a panel of cardstock using Distress Oxide Ink in Speckled Egg.   Across this I layered a grassy piece made using the Grassy Hills Die-namics and which I softly ink blended using Distress Oxide Ink in Crushed Olive.  This strip was applied with foam tape as I started to build some real dimension with this substantial card.

I then used the Stitched Rolling Cloud Edges Die-namics to  create the cloud portion at the top which I stamped the sentiment on to before backing with more foam tape and adhering down.   I backed this panel with white craft foam and applied it to a panel of Petite Gingham 6 x 6 Paper Pad paper that was created using  the A2 Stitched Rectangles STAX.   This panel was in turn glued to an A2 white panel and then to a sturdy card base (I only ever used 110lb cover weight).

Time to add the characters with foam tape and I added a few white gel accents to make areas pop!

A few sparkling clear sequins finished out the card.

I hope you'll join me tomorrow for my 4th card for the countdown, happy crafting!

  1. I like your color palette, especially how you sprinkled red throughout the characters then mounted the card on the same shade of red. Nicely tied it all together.
