I don't know why it took me so long but I've never used the rainbow from the Rainbow Sky Die by Hello Bluebird Stamps before, but here it is in a Spring inspired scene with McGregor's Garden.
A panel of Bristol Smooth was ink blended using Clarity Stencil Brushes with Distress Inks in Salty Ocean and Wild Honey. The panel was die cut using the Cloud 9 die by Mama Elephant. Another panel of Bristol Smooth was die cut twice using the Grassy Knoll Die and these pieces were ink blended with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink. They were layered up on the panel with dimensional foam tape and set to one side.
I die cut the rainbow from different cardstock colours and assembled the rainbow on Stick It paper, trimmed it to size and added foam tape behind it. The clouds from the same die set were die cut from white cardstock and one was stamped with the sentiment from Rainbow Script and also backed with different amounts of foam tape for some crazy dimension and applied.
Now for the characters .... I stamped them with Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil onto Bristol Smooth cardstock and watercolour painted them with Kuretake Zigs in Oatmeal, Mid Gray, Yellow, Bright Yellow, Light Pink, Green Shadow and Shadow Mauve. Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and they were die cut, backed with foam tape and applied to the scene. At this point I applied the panel to the card base made of 110lb white cardstock - nice and sturdy for such a dimensional and weighty card.
Finishing touches to the card were to dot in some white Nuvo Crystal Drops for daisies in the grass and some tiny, sparkling clear sequins by Pretty Pink Posh for a few pretty raindrops.
I hope you're enjoying making your seasonal cards like I am, see you next time!
