My Favorite Things - August Release Countdown Day 4

Welcome to my blog and Countdown Day 4 of the August 10th release at My Favorite Things.   My card today gives you a peek at the new Tiddly Inks illustrated stamp set Sweet Little Spell and Spooky House Die-namics.

To create the card I first prepared a panel using the Stitched Rectangles STAX Die-namics and ink blended using Distress Oxides in Fossilized Amber and Black Soot, I went on to distress this with water and paint splatters for a slightly spooky but mostly magical sky.   This panel was adhered to an A2 white panel of cardstock and attached to the card base.

I die cut the Spooky House from Black Licorice cardstock as well as the grass portion using Grassy Fields Die-namics and I softened the blackness with a foggy affect created by ink blending a little White Pigment Ink.   These elements were then backed with dimensional foam tape and applied to the background panel.

I stamped the image from Sweet Little Spell and then coloured her with Copic markers.   Here is my colour palette:-

Hat, Cloak and Cat - 100, C9, C7, C5, C3
Cloak Lining - YR27, YR24, Y26
Boots - V09, V17, V, 15
Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00
Hair - E44, E42, E0000
Cheeks - R00, R20, R21

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and then I used the coordinating die-namics to die-cut the image.   She was backed with foam tape and adhered.

The sentiment was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed in white on a black sentiment strip that I then blended with a little more of the white pigment ink.  This was applied with foam tape.

The final touch was applying some pretty 4 point star embellishments for some subtle twinkle.

I appreciate you stopping by, I love to hear from you so please leave your comments and questions and then pop over to the MFT Blog if you haven't already visited today and see inspiration from other design team members and see other product reveals.  Leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 gift voucher!!   I will be back same time tomorrow with something new for the release.  Happy crafting!
