School Friends - Pretty Pink Posh

We're fast approaching that time of year when special teachers in our children's lives need to be thanked and with that in mind I created this card using School Friends by Pretty Pink Posh.



For this card I ink blended a background panel using Distress Oxides in Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar and Cracked Pistachio then distressed it by splashing with water and blotting that up.  The panel was then die cut to provide a simple faux stitched edge and applied to the card base.

Next step was to die cut the Thank You Script Die four times from 110lb white cardstock and adhere them altogether  to make a nice dimensional sentiment which in turn was adhered to the panel.

For the frame that highlights the little girl student I adapted the largest of the Stitched Photo Frames Dies using a craft knife.  I back it with dimensional foam tape and set it to one side for a few minutes.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped my images with Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil and watercolour painted them using Kuretake Zigs in Flesh Colour, Pale Pink, Light Pink, Blue Gay, Oatmeal, Dark Brown and Green Shadow and afterwards highlighted some points with a white gel pen.



These images were die cut and applied to the scene with foam tape and then I was able to also apply the frame at a fun angle around her so as to spotlight her and her achievements.

The card was adorned with little pink hearts die cut from the heart included with the coordinating dies for School Friends and some toning jewel embellishments also by Pretty Pink Posh.

Angel Friends - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello!  Pretty Pink Posh has a special sale on this adorable stamp set Angel Friends and so I've made a card to hopefully inspire you - perhaps you already own this set.



This card features an ink blended panel where I used  Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass.  I distressed this with a few splashes of water that I blotted up.  I die cut the panel to give it the faux stitched edge.  The snow flakes are from the Winter Wonderland stamp set and I stamped them using Versamark Ink and heat embossed in silver.  I also similarly stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from Holiday Greetings.  This panel was then adhered to the card base.



I die cut the three frames from Stitched Photo Frames and decided on a layout for them and then adhered them using dimensional foam tape.



On Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped my angel images with Archival Ink and then watercolour painted them using Kuretake Zigs.  They were then die cut and arranged into the scene and either stuck down or adhered with more foam tape.



The finishing touch was to grab my favourite bottle of Stickles in 'Crystal' and I glittered up the angel's wings and halos and some points on the stars and baubles and then I added a few Ivory Jewels as finishing accents.
