Simon Says Stamp - Always There Release - Lettered Oh Happy Day

Today I'm sharing my final card for the Simon Says Stamp latest release called Always There.  This card features the Lettered Oh Happy Day stamp and die set along with the impossible gorgeous Willowweave Plate die and I also used the associated Willowweave Stencil.

Starting with the background, I took a white A2 panel of cardstock and overlaid the Willowweave Stencil.  I ink blended very delicately with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink and then I spritzed Solar Spray in Crocodile Tears to make it beautifully iridescent.  The stencil was removed.

I used the Willowweave Plate to die cut pale blue cardstock.  The pretty die cut was adhered to the background I had created and this panel was then adhered to my card base.

I stamped the Oh Happy Day letters using a Teal ink from my stash and I used my Misti to achieve this so that I could repeat stamp until the ink looked flawless.

I used the Oh Happy Day coordinating die to die cut the letters and I backed each of them with dimensional foam tape and carefully aligned and adhered to the background.  This is a card that can be for a whole variety of occasions which is why I love the sentiment!

Thanks for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamp - Always There Release - Farm Sweet Farm

Welcome to my blog where I'm sharing this new card for Simon Says Stamp that features a stamp set called Farm Sweet Farm from their Always There release.

I took an A2 panel of white cardstock and ink blended softly using Distress Oxide Inks in Scorched Timber and Salvaged Patina.  To create the soil line I tore a scrap of cardstock by hand, giving it a soft uneven edge and ink blended up against it.

I splattered a few drops of water and blotted the background to soak it up and added a few dots here and there in toning colours with a fine tipped pen.

I stamped the images I was going to work with from Farm Sweet Farm using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.  I then coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:-

Skin - E04, E34, E11, E01
Hair - E44, E43, E42, E40
Overalls - E44, E35, E55, E31
Shirt - G28, YG67, YG17, YG25
Shovel - E44, E31, E40, T5, T4, T3, T2
Crate - E31, W5, W3, W0
Leaves - G28, YG67, YG17, YG25
Onions - RV69, V06, V04
Radish - RV17, RV04, RV02
Squash - E42, YR20, E50
Tomatoes - R08, RV14
Carrots - YR09, YR07, YR04, Y38

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and the images were die cut and applied to the background with dimensional foam tape.

Just one job left and that was the sentiment, which was also stamped in the Rich Cocoa ink and you've got a coordinating die for it in the set (don't you just love that?) so I die cut and also applied this with foam tape.

Card done!

I will be back on Friday with my final card for the Always There release and so I hope you will join me then.  Meanwhile, happy crafting!

Simon Says Stamp - Always There Release - Pawfect Together

Hello!  I just wanted to give you a quick run down of how I made this card for Simon Says Stamp using the Pawfect Together stamp set together with the Sparkler Scallop Frames die, both of which formed part of the incredible Always There release which is available now.

I started with an A2 panel of very pale pink cardstock which I simply glued to my card base.  I then took a white panel and die cut using the Sparkler Scallop Frames Die.  I ink blended with Scattered Straw and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks (very softly) and I stamped the sentiment at the bottom in black.

The images I wanted to work with from Pawfect Together were stamped with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and I coloured with the following Copic colour combinations:-

Pups - E31, E40, C3, C1, C0
Top Hat - T6, T4, T2
Bow Tie - BG10
Veil - C1, BG10, R00, E51
Shawl - R000, C1
Speakers - T6, T4, T2
Heart Decor - R20, R00, R000

The images were die cut and applied to the background with dimensional foam tape.

To complete the project I stamped musical notes in black and grey around them and I added a shadow under each pup. I backed the panel with white craft foam and applied it to the pink panel and the last tough was to use Stickles 'Diamond' to put a touch of sparkle on the bride's veil and on the groom's bow tie.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and happy crafting friends!

Simon Says Stamp - 'Always There' Release - Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to the second blog hop for the Simon Says Stamp new release called Always There. Here's a handy link to the entire new release.  Be sure to check out the first blog hop if you missed it because you're going to appreciate all the inspiration from the designers.

I am excited to share my card below for this hop but be sure to keep scrolling after this post if you want see the first card I made using products from the release.

For this card I have used the following products:-

Willowweave Plate (new)
Moonflower Cardstock
A2 Frames
Dreamy Blossoms Embellishment (new)
Sunblush Flowers (new)
Fable Mouse (new)
Beautiful Day (sentiment only)

I took an A2 panel of the dreamy Moonflower Cardstock.  I used the gorgeous Willowweave Plate to die cut white cardstock and I adhered the die cut to the Moonflower panel. I framed it out in white with a frame created using the previously released A2 Frames die.

The Willowweave Plate can also die cut little flowers and leaves which I made from green and white cardstock.  I glued the itty bitty blooms together and then in place within the Willowweave background and then I used the pretty new Dreamy Blossoms Embellishments and glued one in the center of each flower. These embellishments create beautiful, delicate dimension.

I used the new Sunblush Flowers Die to die-cut white cardstock and form all of the different parts of the flowers.  I ink blended the parts using Distress Oxide Inks in Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn Fossilized Amber, Tea Dye, Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac.  I assembled the flowers, glueing each piece in place, then I backed them with foam tape and applied to the background.

I die cut white cardstock using the Fable Mouse Die.  I added some pink to the ears and cheeks and black where they eyes are, then assembled the parts with glue and used the white mouse to hide the bottom of the stems, applying with foam tape and to complete the project I stamped the sentiment borrowed from the Beautiful Day stamp set and applied the sentiment strip with foam tape and so that the mouse is perched on top of it.

Heidi will have this and many other cards to share with you on her Livestream today at 12 noon (May 28th), so be sure to tune in or catch up later. Thank you for stopping off at my blog.  Please continue to hop along by using the list below.

Simon Says Stamp - 'Always There' May Release - Floral Word Builder

Well, it's been a minute hasn't it?  Simon Says Stamp are finally out with a new release after the Create event postponed the April one. They are making up for it with an incredible selection of new products and they call it their 'Always There' release, which I encourage you to explore because the release is live NOW!

For my first card I'm working with the new Floral Word Builder stamps and dies together with the Mythic Blooms embossing folder. I framed out the card in white using the A2 Frames die set which I consider a craft room essential.

I started with the new embossing folder and I embossed an A2 panel of Simon's 'Apricot' cardstock.  I adhered this to the card base and framed it out using the A2 Frames.

I stamped the L, O, V and E from the Floral Word Builder.  The set of letters included will allow you to spell out several words.  I coloured with the following Copic markers:-

Letters - R29, R27, R24
L - YR07, YR14, Y38
O - YR21, YR31, YR30
V - R22, R20, R00
E - YR02, E95, YR82
Green - G21, YG61

I die cut and applied each letter to the embossed background.

I wanted this card to be very simple so I resisted the usual sequins and decided to glaze each red letter instead and so they are all lovely and glossy and catch the light when the card is handled. I use Spellbinders Glaze & Glue because it is the only formula I've found that is non-yellowing. Don't be put off by initial application.  It will dry with no yellow.

Happy crafting and shopping friends!

Simon Says Stamp - Flourish Dragonfly Duo

Welcome to my blog and a new card for Simon Says Stamp featuring recently released products.  For this card I have used:-

I took a minty green A2 panel of cardstock from my stash and I ran it through my Big Shot using the Flower Frame Embossing Folder.  I then inverted a white pigment ink pad and carefully passed it over the raised floral areas.  Letting an application dry for a few minutes before coming back to it and repeating the process is the best way I have found for more whitening/contrast.  I used a white gel pen to define the flower centres  and then I trimmed down the panel and applied it to a white A2 card base with white craft foam sandwiched in between.

Using sturdy white cardstock and the Flourish Dragonfly Duo die, I created the parts for three dragonflies.  I ink blended the different elements using Distress Oxide Inks in Cracked Pistachio, Pine Needles, Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire and Vintage Photo.

I sprayed the wings with Solar Spray in Crocodile Tears and when dry I assembled the dragonflies, glueing the parts together.  I played around with them until I found an arrangement that I liked and then each one was secured to the background with a little dimensional foam tape. The wing tips can be teased upwards for insane dimension and the iridescence of the Solar Spray is just gorgeous when the card is handled and it catches the light.

To complete the card I stamped the sentiment from Tiny Words Birthday using Metallic Gold Pigment Ink by Honey Bee Stamps and applied the strip with foam tape.

Lastly, I found some toning jewels from my stash and glued some to the wing tips and others to the top left and bottom right corners.

Really happy with how this tone on tone card turned out, I hope you like it too!  I'll be back very soon with something new to share.

Simon Says Stamp - Flourish Rabbit Birthday Card

Thanks for joining me today to learn how I made this birthday card featuring products from the In My Heart release by Simon Says Stamp. Please find below a list of links to the products used:-

I took a panel of white cardstock and used the embossing folder to create the detailed background.  I applied this to my card base then die cut a frame using the A2 Thin Frames die and glued it directly. From the same pink cardstock I die cut an oval using the Stitched Ovals die and I backed it with dimensional tape and applied it.

Next step was to create the Flourish Bunny by simply die cutting the image and applying colour with Copic markers to highlight the pretty features.  I also teased the leaves and petals upwards carefully for some dimension before applying it with foam tape and whilst I did that I added grass behind the bunny.  This grass was just shredded pieces of green cardstock cut with scissors.

I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Messages with a metallic silver ink and applied the banner with foam tape.

For the finishing touches I considered my embellishments.  I decided to use the little butterfly dies that come with the embossing folder and create 3 butterflies to flutter around the bunny and I simply ink blended their wings with Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink and applied them with yet more foam tape.

I used some mirrored 'Fairy Jewels' for the final embellishments and then this card was complete.

Happy crafting friends and have a wonderful day!

Simon Says Stamp - Fresh Crocus Duo

Welcome to my blog and a new card for Simon Says Stamp featuring products from their most recent 'In My Heart' release.  Here's a hand list of links to the products you see used here:-

I started with the background panel which I trimmed smaller than A2.  I used a brayer on the inside of the Fanfare Embossing Folder and rolled on Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink.  I was sure to roll this ONLY on the side where the pattern is in 'dips' (not raised) so that the ink would not be on the raised pattern and keeping it white after running it through my die cutting machine.  I then spattered on some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink that I loosened with a drop or two of Solar Spray in Crocodile Tears for some  pretty iridescence.  This panel was backed with white craft foam and applied to a white card base.

I die cut the focal panel from white cardstock using the Teardrop Pinpoint Frames die and ink blended softly in the centre with the Salvaged Patina again.  This panel was added with dimensional tape to the embossed panel.

I die cut the Fresh Crocus Duo from white cardstock and ink blended using Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.  I assembled the blooms with glue, backed them with foam tape and applied to the white panel.

To complete the project  I die cut the Giggle Hello 3 or 4 times, I ink blended one of the cuts and then glued them all together then to the card.  I threaded some toning coloured cord around one of the blooms and tied it to a bow and dotted in some interest around the flowers with a gel pen.  Lastly I added some jewel accents and with that this card was finished!

I appreciate you visiting my blog today and I'll be back very soon with something new.

Simon Says Stamp - Charming Flower Stem

I have a new card for Simon Says Stamp today featuring their Charming Flower Stem die which formed part of their most recent release.

To start the card I created a background using the Dancing Starlets Embossing Folder. I used a brayer and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink and I rolled the ink on to the side of the embossing folder where the pattern has 'dips' as opposed to the other side which would have the pattern raised.  Once I had the ink nicely on there I placed my cardstock good side up on the opposite side of the embossing folder and lifted the inked side up, over and down to a close and I kept the folder clamped shut as I ran it through my die cutting machine. This is how you get the effect of the pattern staying white (in this case) and the background having colour.  I only wanted a soft hint of colour and I then splashed the panel with gold watercolour paint and set it aside to dry.

I die cut the Charming Flower Stem and some leaves from sturdy white cardstock and ink blended using Distress Oxides in Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar and Spiced Marmalade. For the leaves I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.  The flower centres were ink blended with Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo.

All of the ink blended parts were assembled with glue and backed with dimensional foam tape.  I then splashed them with the same gold watercolour paint and I made an arrangement and stuck it down to the background panel.

To complete the card I chose the beautiful 'Hello Friend' sentiment from the Good Greetings 1 sentiment stamp set.  I stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed in gold then die cut with the coordinating die and applied it popped up on more foam tape. The panel was adhered to a sturdy card base and with that it was complete!

Thanks for stopping by today, I'll be back soon with something new to share.

Now to the details on my card today ....

My card uses the brand new Wild Rose stamp set and coordinating dies together with the new Moonflower cardstock and previously released Weaving Plate die.

I used the Weaving Plate die to die cut an A2 panel of the very beautiful new Moonflower cardstock.  I backed this panel with white craft foam and glued it to a larger white card base and I set that to one side.

I stamped the floral images, coloured with Copic markers, splashed on Simon's Pawsitively Perfect White Splatter Medium then die cut using the coordinating die set.

Each image was backed with dimensional foam tape and adhered to the Moonflower panel allowing the petals and leaves to overhang the edges but not to exceed the edges of the card base so that it isn't too vulnerable when mailed out!

To complete this sympathy card, I chose a sentiment from the Wild Rose stamp set, stamped and die cut the image and floated it above the roses with tiny pieces of dimensional foam tape in a single or double layer depending on what was behind it.  I also grabbed some gold glitter Stickles and dotted it into the centre of the open flowers as a final touch.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and don't forget to comment to be in the running for one of those $25 coupons.  Have a wonderful day!

Turning now to the card I have made for this blog hop, this is a project for a beautiful friend who needs to know how much you adore them.  I have used the following products:-

Beautiful Friend die
Friend Like You

Taking an A2 white panel of cardstock, I ink blended a focal point using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and glued it to my already prepared card base.

I stamped the Friend Like You images using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and coloured with Copic markers.  I die cut and backed the images with foam tape and adhered to the ink blended background.

Sentiment time!  I die cut the Beautiful Friend words from white and pink cardstock.  I assembled the two parts and backed it with more foam tape and applied to the background also.  Below it I tucked a smaller sentiment from the Friend Like You stamp set.

To complete this card I simply dotted some specks into the sky.

I hope you like my card, thanks for stopping off on the hop and don't forget to leave your comment below in order to be entered to win a $25 coupon.
