Lawn Fawn - You're A Keeper

Well hello there, thank you for visiting my blog today where I'm sharing a new card made purely for the love of the craft and featuring 100% Lawn Fawn products.  Please be aware that the bee keeper was from a free with purchase stamp set called 'You're A Keeper' and now sold out and the patterned background paper was one of three pieces of patterned paper included free with my order from Lawn Fawn a couple of months ago.  The list below therefore doesn't include these two items:-

First of all I prepped an A2 panel using the patterned paper.  I die cut the frame and added with foam tape then I layered two grassy borders created using the Grassy Border Die and which I ink blended with Scattered Straw Distress Oxide Ink and splattered with white acrylic paint loosened with a drop or two of water.   First grassy border at the back was adhered directly but no glue near the top so that I could lift it a little and tuck images behind and the smaller layer was popped up on dimensional tape but again the strip of tape was right at the bottom to allow tucking.

I stamped the images I'd be needing from You're A Keeper and Hive Five and coloured with the following Copic markers:-

Bear - T5, T5, T4, T3, T2, T1, E31, R22, R20, R00,
Hive - E44, E43, E42, Y28, Y26, YR31, Y21
Flowers - B12, B41, Y28, Y26, YR31, Y21, YG45, G12
Honeypot - B12, B41, Y28, Y26, YR31, Y21, C3, C1, C00
Bees - E00 Y26, Y21, BG000

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and Hive Five images die cut using the Lawn Cuts and the You're A Keeper images were fussy cut.  I applied the images to the scene using dimensional foam tape.

Sentiment came last (but not least).   I used Henry's ABC's to die cut the letters for HONEY twice over and glued them together then aligned and glued them to the background.   I used Copic markers to make a honey coloured fade on the lettering and then used Nuvo Crystal Glaze to gloss it up.   Lastly, I stamped 'You're A Keeper' on a sentiment strip and adhered with foam tape.

Had so much fun with this card and Lawn Fawn's lovely products and can't wait to play again!

Lawn Fawn - Hive Five

Well this is different!  I've actually by crafting purely for myself and just for the pure fun of it.   I treated myself to some goodies from Lawn Fawn and I will share the cards I've made over the coming days.   For this card today I have used the following products:-

Ok here we go!  I first created an A2 white panel of cardstock.  Over this I glued a patterned panel that was 1/8 of an inch smaller.  Over this I layered a panel prepared using the Stackables die and which I ink blended the honeycomb patterns using the stencil and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide Ink.  I backed this panel with some white craft foam and adhered it down.  I used the Stackables again together with the Grassy Border die to create a strip of grass which I coloured with Copic markers and adhered with a strip of dimensional foam tape.

I die cut the back piece to the daisy four times and then I die cut the top piece once.  I coloured the parents and assembled it all with glue and then adhered to the background.

I stamped the images from Hive Five using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and coloured with the following Copic markers:-

'Daisies' - Y26, YR31, Y21, R11, R00, R000, YG03, YG01
Hive - Y26, YR31, Y21, E30
Bees - R11, R00, R000, R21, Y26, Y21, E30, G00, G000
Grass strip - YG01, YG0000

Images were die cut using the coordinating dies and adhered to the scene using dimensional foam tape and points were highlighted with a white gel pen.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and finally I added some clear enamel dot type embellishments for a final flourish.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, stay tuned for much more!
