My Favorite Things - Happy Occasions Card Kit

Good news!  The MFT Stamps June Card Kit called Happy Occasions is now available for purchase.  This is my second card for the release.   If you missed my card yesterday, please keep scrolling after this blogpost and you will find it there.   Here's what I've used from the kit for this project:-

A2 Stitched Rectangles Stax Set 1 Die-namics

I started by stencil ink blending the background panel and then I die cut using the Stax Die-namics.  I backed this panel with white craft foam and and applied it to an A2 white panel and then to the card base.

I die cut the greenery and blooms using 110lb cover weight white cardstock (sturdy stuff)!  I ink blended using mini sponge daubers so that I could daub with accuracy then arranged and glued them in position.

I die cut the word HAPPY three times.  Twice from white cardstock and once from pink and I glued the letters together and offset the pink layer for a shadow affect.   The letters were glued to the background then I popped the card in my Misti and stamped the words 'for you'.   Three sparkling sequins completed this elegant card that is useful for multiple needs.

My Favorite Things - Happy Occasions Card Kit

Tomorrow at 10am Eastern you can buy the new MFT Stamps Happy Occasions Card Kit.  Here's what I've used to make this slimline card:-

I prepared a slimline card base, a slimline panel and a smaller panel, all in white cardstock.

I die cut the florals twice each from the following three MFT cardstock colours:-

Sno Cone
Summer Splash
Tropical Teal

I then set about created scores of flowers by layering the different die cuts in different colours and gluing them together.

I then began to create a carpet of flowers by layering and overlapping the blooms and glued them in position on the smaller white panel.  I backed that panel with white craft foam and adhered it to the slimline panel and then to the card base.

To complete the card I create the sentiment.  The large word HAPPY was created by using the All The Happy die-namics.  I die cut twice from white cardstock and a third time from silver and I glued them together and then to the carpet of blooms.  Finally, I stamped the word birthday on a strip and applied with foam tape.   Card complete!
