Simon Says Stamp - Flowering Frame

Welcome to my blog and my third card of three featuring the new 'Flowering Frame' stamp set that formed part of the new release from Simon Says Stamp.  If you haven't seen my other two cards using this stamp set, please just keep scrolling after this post and you will quickly come to them.  Each card has shown the stamp set off in very different ways.  If you'd like to view all of the new products from the release in one place please use THIS LINK.  If you'd like to see the new release livestream (after the fact) on You Tube, you can view that HERE.

This card started with a white A2 panel of sturdy cardstock.  I used the largest image from this 6 x 8 inch stamp set and I stamped using green ink.  Using the same ink I also stamped the floral 'heart' image on a separate piece of cardstock.

Using Copic markers I added the tiniest amount of colour to the open portions of the image and you could choose whatever colours you like for the blooms..

I die cut the main panel using the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set by Alex Syberia Designs to give it the faux stitched edge and then I popped it in my Misti and stamped the 'Thinking of You' sentiment in black.  I attached the panel to my card base.

With the heart shaped floral image, I fussy cut around the outside leaving the centre in tact.  I added dimensional foam tape behind it and adhered it to the background floating above and between the floral outer border.

A few sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh completed this card.   A good card to keep on hand whilst at the same time, hoping you never have to use it!

I appreciate you stopping by to read my blog today.  Happy crafting!

Simon Says Stamp - You Are My Favorite Release

Welcome to my blog and a new card for Simon Says Stamp featuring the 'Flowering Frame' stamp set which forms part of the incredible new 'You Are My Favorite' release which is available now and you should definitely check it out because there is MUCH to love.  THIS LINK will take you to all of the new products and in case you missed it last Friday, there was a livestream of the new products and designer card samples which you can view HERE.

For this card, I took an A2 panel of cardstock in a pretty pastel pink shade.  I then used Distress Oxide Ink in Lumberjack Plaid and one of the three images from the Flowering Frame stamp set and I repeatedly stamped the entire panel, turning the image this way and that until it was fully covered.

I used a white Prismacolor pencil and coloured the flowers to make them slightly pop against the pink and then I die cut using Alex Syberia Design's Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set to give it the stitched edge.  I used the Simon Says Stamp Wavy Scallop Stitches Wafer Die to give the pretty curved edge.

I took a panel of white cardstock and used the same nested scalloped die to give it the same finish.  I popped the panel in my Misti and stamped the small floral image at the bottom in red and stamped the cursive 'thank you' sentiment in black.

The coloured panel was backed with white craft foam and glued to the white panel which in turn was glued to a card base.

In case you missed it back on April 24th, here is the first card I shared using the Flowering Frame stamp set.  Thank you for stopping by for the details today, I hope you enjoyed it.  Shop the new release and much, much more and happy crafting friends!

Simon Says Stamp - You Are My Favorite Release

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.  Today I am happy to be sharing this 'shabby chic' style card for Simon Says Stamp featuring the 'Flowering Frame' stamp set from today's new 'You Are My Favorite' release.  You can view the entire release HERE.  There's much to be excited about as you'll see and I recommend that you join the Simon Says Stamp livestream on You Tube this Friday April 25th at noon to get an even better look at the products and cards from the designers.  The livestream will be HERE.

This card design started with a sturdy white A2 panel of cardstock which I stamped using one of the three images from the 6 x 8 inch stamp set.  I used a lilac coloured ink and I stamped it off once to the side each time I inked it up and before stamping the actual panel so that I achieved a softer, faded second generation image.  I repeatedly stamped until the panel was covered including going off the edges and I then die cut the panel using the Scalloped Frames Die Set by Alex Syberia to give a simple, pierced looking border.

I took a panel of lilac coloured cardstock from my stash and I used the same pretty, somewhat heart shaped floral image to stamp the two hearts shapes.  To do this I used Versamark Ink and I then heat embossed in white, ultra fine embossing powder.  I used ultra fine due to the intricate nature of the image.

I used a smaller die from the same Scalloped Frames Die Set and die cut the panel, I tied a matching lilac ribbon around it and then I backed it with a piece of white craft foam and adhered the smaller panel to the background.

The Flowering Frame stamp set comes with a generous variety of sentiments, some are cursive and others are simple like the 'get well soon' sentiment I chose for this card, stamping it on a white sentiment strip in a greyish beige ink so that it was quite subtle and didn't compete with the feminine card, I attached it to the card using dimensional foam tape with a single layer under the left 2/3rds and a tiny triple stack under the overhanging edge to support it.

I appreciate you taking time out of your day to read about this card, I hope you enjoyed it.  I encourage you to visit the Simon Says Stamp website and check out all of the amazing new products from the You Are My Favorite release.  Enjoy!
