Today we're previewing the brand new Gingerbread Greetings Card Kit by MFT Stamps which you can buy tomorrow October 10th at 10am Eastern. This is my first of two cards using the kit, so please come back tomorrow to see a card I made using the actual Gingerbread House from the kit, but today .... just the candy and cookies! Here's what I've used:-
Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics
Blueprints 27 Die-namics
Classic Rectangle Frames Die-namics
To start this card I first prepped an A2 panel of kraft cardstock and applied it to a card base. Over this I layered a white panel that I had die cut using Blueprints 27 and then masked an area and ink blended with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and splashed with watered down white acrylic paint. I carefully removed the mask and applied a die cut frame with dimensional foam tape. When creating the frame I of course got a negative cut from the inside which was the perfect size to create my snow hills which I edged with more of the same ink then glued them within the frame. This whole layered and inked panel was backed with white craft foam and applied to the kraft base and set to one side.
Great opportunity here to use up little scraps of your favourite MFT Prestige Cardstock. I basically got busy die cutting all the different little components and glueing them together where and as required. I then highlighted a few points and then applied them in a loose and fun way to the background scene I'd created.
