Welcome to Countdown Day 2 to the new May release by MFT Stamps which you can buy this Tuesday May 9th at 10am Eastern. I have a celebratory card for a new graduate today and here are the items I have used:-
I created my background panel first by ink blending initially with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink and then I lay down the stencil and came in with a little Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink. I splashed with water and blotted then splashed again with more water but I added a little white acrylic paint to the mix. I dried this with my heat gun then stamped the large sentiment at the top of the panel using Versamark Ink and heat embossed in white. I was using my Misti and so I was able to repeat the stamping and embossing for a more pronounced embossed affect. I attached this panel to my card base.
Next step was die cutting the different elements from the Iconic Grad Die-namics using different coloured cardstock from MFT. I assembled each element with glue and highlighted some points with a white gel pen and then adhered the word GRAD directly to the background and the other elements with dimensional foam tape.
To finish I added some tiny flat gold star embellishments and with that the card was complete!
