The May release from MFT Stamps is now available for purchase and I'm celebrating with this sweet and bold birthday card. Here's what I've used:-
First of all I created my background by using Blueprints 27 to create a decorative panel. I used Washi tape to mask off the edges then ink blended with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink. Before removing the mask I splashed with water and then again with white acrylic paint loosened with water. I then removed the mask and applied this panel to a panel of kraft cardstock and then to an A2 panel of white cardstock.
I die cut the Pop-Up Pals and coloured them with Copic markers before glueing each element together. Here are my colours:-
Bunny - E31, E42, E41, T3, T2, T1
Cat - T4, T3, T2, T1, T0, C00
Blushes - R20, R00
I highlighted with a white gel pen then give the bunny two hair barrettes and the cat a bowtie and backed each of them with dimensional foam tape and applied to the background.
To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from the 'phrases' stamp set to a sentiment strip included in Blueprints 27 and I applied this to hide the edges of each of the animals.
Finally, I applied a few sparkling clear sequins to the background of this simple card.
Thanks for coming by today and enjoy shopping the new release.
