Hello! Welcome to my blog where today I'm sharing my inspiration card for MFT's April Ready, Set, Christmas Challenge. My card uses the following MFT products:-
A2 Rectangle Frames Die-namics
Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics
Christmas Text 6 x 6 Paper Pad
I created an A2 panel using the paper pad, selecting a deep green shade and applied this to my card base. Over this I layered white die-cuts using the Winter Trees Die-namics, then the Snow Drifts and finally I die cut the largest from the Rectangles die set - I die cut this twice. I glued down the trees, trimming them to size with the frames which I glued together and down on to the background. I then created the snowy ground with a hint of ink blending in a toning green which I distressed with a little splattered water then glued in place.
Next, I turned my attention to stamping and colouring the sweet girl from Bright Holidays. Here are the Copic colours I used:-
Skin - E33, E11, E21, E00
Hair - E50, E87, E44, E42, E31
Christmas Tree Dress - G28, G46, YG45
Baubles and Boots - R59, R39, R29, R27, R05
White Sleeves - C3, C1, C0, C00
Blush - R21, R20, R00
I die cut using the coordinating die-namics and then used dimensional foam tape to adhere her to the background.
To finish up I used Stickles Glitter in Silver and white Nuvo drops to add little bauble drops to the points on her dress, also more silver to the star on her head and I used a white gel pen to highlight one or two areas.
Finally, I stamped and heat embossed the white sentiment on red cardstock and also applied this with foam tape to keep up with the dimension.
