My Favorite Things - Ready, Set, Christmas!

Friends, it is time for the second Ready, Set, Christmas challenge by MFT Stamps.  The slimline challenge is gone and new for 2023 we're getting ahead for Christmas each month so that we're not overwhelmed with our Christmas projects closer to the time.

My inspiration card for this challenge this month uses the following MFT products:-

I created my background first by creating a snow line using the Drifts & Hills Stencil and ink blending using first Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink, then I came in with Shaded Lilac, next Lost Shadow and finally and with a gentle touch Black Soot.

Keeping the snow line stencil in place I then layered over the First Snowfall Stencil.  I secured it down and then uses glitter paste  to create some glittering snowfall.  I carefully removed the stencil and set the background panel aside to dry whilst I moved on to the next process.

I stamped the images from Snow Sweet using a pale grey ink for a bit of a no-line colouring affect.   Here are the Copic marker combinations that I used:-

Snowman body -  C3, C1, C0, C00, R81, RV00, RV0000, YR04, YR09
Snowman Hat/Scarf - RV17, RV06
Bird and Bunny - E42, E41, E40, E0000, RV00, RV0000

I emphasised the eyes with a fine tipped archival ink pen and outlined the scarf and won't over the twig arms.  I then used a white gel pen to highlight and finally die cut the images, backed them with foam tape and applied to the background.

I stamped the sentiment which is from Letter To Santa then backed the decorative panel with white craft foam and mounted it on a full size A2 panel and in turn to the card base.

To finish up, I once again used my white gel pen and dotted in more snow in the background.
