My Favorite Things - MFT & Friends - Release Day!!!

Hello Friends!   Release Day is finally here at My Favorite Things and you can get your hands on this wonderful new May release now!   I have TWO cards to share with you today so keep on scrolling and both use the new Stacey Yacula illustrated 'Travel Plans' stamp set and coordinating Die-namics.

To create my first card which is a 5 x 5 inch square, I started out by using Distress Oxide Ink in Speckled Egg on a slightly smaller panel than the card base.  I created a soft focal point and applied it to the card base directly.

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped the entire 'Travel Plans' stamp set and I coloured all of the images so that I could use them across two cards.   All images were die cut using the coordinating Die-namics.

I decided on a layout and began to adhere the buildings either directly or with foam tape to build some depth.  I kept layering forwards until my scene was done.

To complete my card a stamped the sentiment to a strip of cardstock and applied it and I tucked a few sparkling clear sequins here for some subtle interest.

I then moved on to card No.2!

Once again I used the Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink for my blended focal point because it was working so nicely with my already coloured stamped images.  This card is A2 and I applied the blended panel to my card base.

With my remaining stamped images I once again played with the layout and once I was happy with it I either glued directly or using foam tape to build some fun dimension.

Love this sentiment from the stamp set which I stamped to a sentiment strip from Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics, backed it with foam tape and applied to the scene with little animals perched on it.   A few sparkling clear sequins once again completed the card.

Happy shopping and even happier crafting!
