My Favorite Things - May Countdown Day 2

So grateful for you coming by my blog today on this Countdown Day 2 to the My Favorite Things March 4th release at 10am.   Today I have a card featuring the brand new Let's Work Together stamp set which has coordinating Die-namics.

To create my card I used the Grassy Hills Die-namics and white A2 panels and die cut four grassy edges.  I ink blended those edges using Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink and I took another full-size panel of white cardstock for the background and ink blended the sky using first Peacock Feathers and then Chipped Sapphire for a deep teal look.  Now I was able to adhere my grassy hills, the largest one I glued directly the next was applied with foam tape, the 3rd directly again and finally the small one at the base with foam tape.  This is one super chunky card!

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped the images from Let's Work Together and I used Copic markers to colour these sweet images.   My card uses all of the images from the stamp set.  The coordinating Die-namics were used to die cut each image which I highlighted with a white gel pen and then I used foam tape to adhere them into place.

To complete the card I stamped the sentiment onto strips of cardstock from the Skinny Strips Sentiment Die-namics and applied them with foam tape and I used a teal gel pen to add touches of interest.

Thank you for stopping by, I always love to read your comments if you have a moment to leave one.  Don't forget to pop over to the MFT blog today and see more of the release and further Design Team inspiration and if you leave a comment you could be in the running for a $75 gift voucher!!!

Happy crafting!

  1. Hi, Nicky - I adore the color scheme ... the chipped sapphire, peacock feathers and the rustic wilderness are amazing together. I also love the composition of the critters as they go about their tasks. This is a fabulous card!

  3. Love the color combination of greens and teals..the shades of browns ground the card and the use of keeping some white space makes it very calm and soothing to the eye for a card with so much going on with all the critters

  4. The grassy hills looks so good... love the tree house. I could stand one of those in my backyard. My granddaughters would really love star gazing in this house! Nicely done!
