Simon Says Stamp - STAMPTEMBER - Special Release of Embossing Folders and Dies

Welcome to my blog where I'm sharing this sweet birthday card for Simon Says Stamp that was created using one of the BRAND NEW Embossing Folders and Dies being release TODAY as a special release for STAMPTEMBER.  This is the 'Fable Balloon Buddies embossing folder and Fable Balloon Buddies die.  To complete the card I also used Simon's 'Happy Everything EZ Strips' from a previous release.

Before I explain how I made this card I want to tell you that there are multiple new embossing folders with dies being offered today as part of the Stamptember celebrations but in ADDITION they are offering even more embossing folders and dies in the website's SALE CATEGORY at a discounted price! Please check it all out so that you don't miss out!

So turning to my card sample. I created an A2 panel of Simon Says Stamp's 'Seashell' cardstock and I ran it through my die cutting machine using the Fable Balloon Buddies embossing folder.  What is produced is gorgeous just as it is as a background to your card however let's take it further and build the dimension and add color.

I grabbed some sturdy white cardstock and die cut the Fable Balloon Buddies images 2 or 3 times.  Once die cut I opened the embossing folder again and lay it flat on my craft table.  You want to have the side down where you can feel the indentations (not the raised side).  I placed the die cut bunny and balloon shapes into their corresponding shape in the embossing folder.  Play around with this step if you're new to it.  You can feel when the piece is sitting nicely in the recess.

When all of the pieces are set, carefully close the top down and keep the 'sandwich' firmly shut and run it through your die cut machine just as you did with the main panel.

Now you have your embossed shapes you can colour them with ink blending or Copic markers or however you like to colour images - I did a combination of blending and Copics.  I then glued them to their corresponding spot on the background panel.

I chose to do a design where I only added the bunnies on half of the panel.  The others I added a little highlighting by gently passing white pigment ink pad over the the top.

To complete my card I tied frayed sheer ribbon around the panel and then adhered it to a prepared card base.  I used a white gel pen to highlight some points on the bunnies, balloons and flowers and I also came in with a pink Copic to very slightly define some of the flower petals.

I created the two piece sentiment using Happy Everything EZ Strips and and applied with foam tape.

Last but not least I added a few tiny sparkling clear sequins dotted around because I can never resist a little twinkle!

You will find several tutorial videos on Simon's YouTube Channel walking you through how to use these embossing folders and dies in different ways which is perfect for those of you who need a visual demonstration.

Thanks for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamp - STAMPTEMBER Release is LIVE!

Very exciting that Stamptember is here for 2026!  Simon Says Stamp have packed the release with incredibly gorgeous, fun products and there's plenty to celebrate this month all around.  If you would like to see the entire release all in the one place, please use this link.

My first card  for Stamptember uses the new 'Swirling Ghosts' die, the new 'Torn Paper Borders' die together with the Spooky Halloween EZ Strips.

I ink blended using Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar, Lost Shadow and Black soot to create a soft focal point.  I spattered it all with Simon's Pawsitively Perfect White Splatter Medium and then die cut with the Torn Paper Borders die.

This panel was then backed with craft foam and applied to a white A2 card base.

I die cut  all of the Swirling Ghosts from the die set and I used Copic markers C5, C3, C1, C00 and RV000 to add shading to their bodies and I used C5, C3, C1, C0 together with RV93 and R81 to colour their various headwear.  All elements were glued together and then I added them to the background with foam tape.

Finishing touches included the addition of the sentiments and then I came in with some pretty four point stars and Stickles in black glitter shade to add interest to the eerie night sky.

Thank you for stopping by and look out for the BIG Stamptember party tomorrow September 2nd at 8am Eastern, it should be a whole lot of fun.

Hello crafty friends and thank you as always for joining me on my blog today where we're celebrating all things Simon Says Stamp and STAMPtember 2025 (which launched yesterday) by having a Blog Party today.

For the party today I'm sharing this new card featuring 'Block Presents' a brand new die together with A2 Frames Die and the 'Tiny Words Birthday' stamp set.

I took some pink and yellow cardstock and using the A2 Frames die I die cut two panels and then used the next size die down to cut again.  The frames were  applied to a white card base and the centre panels were backed with white craft foam and then glued in place.

I grabbed the new Block Presents die and die cut white cardstock twice to form two identical die cut images.  I glued these in place on each of the coloured panels.

To complete the card I created some matching sentiment strips and stamped a little sentiment onto each and then adhered them like gift tags to each group of presents.  The final touch was the addition of a few small sparkling clear sequins.

This card was a pretty quick make in the CAS style.  The Block Presents die would make fantastic shaker cards among other uses!

I really appreciate you coming to my blog today and joining in the party.  Please note that my unique 'gift' below is that this incredible embossing folder is free with ANY purchase!!!  That's pretty awesome right?  Follow the steps in the graphic below.

Simon Says Stamp - STAMPtember Kicks Off TODAY!!!

Thanks for joining me today as the fun kicks off at Simon Says Stamp with the first day of 'STAMPtember'.  I have several cards to share with you over the coming days but here are the details for this my first one.  To create this card I have used:-

Wild Birthday (illustrated my Rachelle Anne Miller)
Boho Flowers Embossing Folder
A2 Scalloped Rectangles 8021sd

I took a panel of pretty pink cardstock, lightly spritzed it with water and then ran it through my Big Shot using the Boho Flowers Embossing Folder.  I sized the panel down a little and adhered it to my white card base.

I die cut two scalloped edges panels from heavyweight vellum and another from white cardstock using the A2 Scalloped Rectangles die.  I ink blended a purple and pink focal point and distressed it just a little and then adhered them together then to the pink embossed background panel.

I stamped the giraffe from the new 'Wild Birthday' stamp set using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.  Wild Birthday is a large stamp set which includes several other illustrations, so make sure you check them all out.  I coloured the image with Copic markers and added a little glitter to the party hat and ball, I backed the image with dimensional foam tape and adhered it to the ink blended area.

To complete the card I chose one of the sentiments included in the stamp set, stamped in the same Rich Cocoa ink and then applied the strip with more foam tape.

A few twinkling sentiments completed the design.

I'll be back tomorrow with something new!  Happy shopping friends.

Simon Says Stamp & Alex Syberia Design STAMPTEMBER - Close At Heart

Today is the turn of Alex Syberia Designs and the Simon Says Stamp #stamptember event which has been ongoing all month long.  Alex Syberia Designs submitted this 'Close At Heart' floral stamp set with some lovely sentiments and here's how I made the card.

I took a panel of white cardstock and stamped the floral image using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  Each time I stamped off the edge of the panel and I kept in mind where I'd want the sentiment to go and which I also stamped.

I coloured the floral images using Copic markers in the following combinations:-

Blooms - BV13, B63, BV31
Foliage - YG67, YG45, YG25

I then used Matcha ink by The Stamp Market and came around the edges and finishing with a soft focal point.  Following this I spattered on some white acrylic paint that I loosened with a drop or two of water and then I die cut the image using the largest die from Good Day Wilted Rectangles Die Set which gives the panel that attractive edge.

I backed the panel with white craft foam and then adhered it to a white A6 panel and then to the card base.

To finish this simple card I added 3 Nuvo Crystal Drops in Gloss - Berry Blue.

Many thanks for coming to learn about this Stamptember card, have a lovely day!

Stamptember - Merry Wreath - Simon Says Stamp/Avery Elle

Hello!  I was so happy to participate in the fun Stamptember event for Simon Says Stamp in conjunction with Avery Elle.  The stamp set in question is called 'Merry Wreath' and I decided to go for a simple but sophisticated 'mixed metals' look by layering Copper and Silver heat embossing.

I took a panel of pale gray cardstock  and stamped the wreath image with Versamark Ink then heat embossed in Copper.

I then used one of the leaf images and again using Versamark Ink as I stamped it randomly around the wreath and heat embossed in silver.

The bow image was next, again using the copper embossing powder and finally the sentiment was stamped and I switched back to silver.

The secret to not damaging the layer of embossing underneath is keeping your heat gun very hot all the time so that it very quickly embosses your new image without impacting the layer underneath.

With all the embossing done, I trimmed down my panel a little, I backed it with white craft foam and mounted it to a sturdy 110lb white cardstock base.

The final touch was the application of sparkling clear sequins adding just a tiny bit of dimension and sparkle.

This would be a great stamp set for mass producing your Christmas cards.  There are several stamp images to adorn your wreath differently than I did.

Thank you for stopping by to read today and happy crafting, I'll be back soon with a new project!
