To create this card I first needed to create 'paradise' for the penguins so to that end I masked and ink blended a panel of white cardstock to create sky and water using Distress Oxides and a blender brush. At the bottom I created a beach using the Slimline Drifts and Hills and more Distress Oxides. I die cut this panel using the Slimline Starter Die-namics and adhered it to a full size slimline panel of white cardstock which in turn was glued to my prepared card base.
I stamped the entire Penguins in Paradise stamp set and did multiples of the palm trees and cocktails and hibiscus flowers. I coloured all images with Copic markers.
Palm Trees E44, E43, E42, YG03, YG25, YG07 and G16
Penguins W5, W4, W3, W2, Y15, Y02 and YR09
Blues B04, B12 and B41
Purples V05, RV66 and V06
Hibiscus FYR1, YR04 plus gel pen for pinky-purple centre detail.
All images were die cut using the coordinating die-namics and points were highlighted with a white gel pen to make them pop!
I used dimensional foam tape and adhered everything in place on the background panel in the layout I'd previously decided upon.
I stamped the sentiments from the set to two strips of white cardstock and adhered them and a very few sparkling clear sequins were tucked here and there to finish off the card.
Don't you just love those solemn little faces?
I hope you enjoyed my card today and I really do appreciate you stopping by my blog and I love to read any comments you leave for me.
