Hello Friends and welcome to another My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #536 and my interpretation of it!
To create the card I first stamped and Copic coloured the images I was using from Birthday Buds and those were die-cut using the coordinating Die-namics. Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and then I set them aside whilst I created the rest of the card.
I created a background panel from the Petite Gingham 6 x 6 Paper Pad and the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX. I also created a strip from a pink sheet from the same pack. I adhered the blue panel to a white panel of cardstock and then aligned and wrapped around and adhered the pink strip.
I used the Inside and Out Stitched Circle STAX to create the focal point circle and I softly ink blended and stencilled using the Micro Cloud Edges Stencil using Distress Oxide Ink in Spun Sugar. This circle was backed with foam tape and applied to the background.
I backed the previously coloured characters with foam tape and adhered them to the scene loosely following the sketch diagram and I added in some Petite Cloud Die-namics die-cuts for some further dimension and interest.
I popped the panel into my Misti and stamped the sentiment twice for a nice clear image and the final touch was the addition of just 3 sparkling clear sequin accents. The panel was applied to my card base and then it was complete.
I hope you will visit the MFT Blog and find the link to enter your own Sketch Challenge entry for a chance to win a $50 gift card. Good luck!
Those balloons are awesome. The critters are just too cute on your beautiful card.
