Pretty Pink Posh - A Card for a Baby Girl

Hi!  Back on April 15th I shared a baby boy card using Pretty Pink Posh's Baby Basics Stamp Set together with their Baby Words Stencil and today I'm back with a somewhat similar baby girl version.

I took a panel of white cardstock and blended it with Shaded Lilac, Saltwater Taffy and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Inks.  I then layered over the Baby Words Stencil and  I used TCW's Light & Fluffy Embossing Paste through it.  I carefully removed the stencil and set it to one side to dry.

I used Eiffel Tower ink by MFT to stamp the Baby Basics images and then I coloured with the following Copic markers:-

Mauve - BV11, BV00, BV000, BV0000
Pink - RV52, RV10, RV0000
Beige - E31, E41, E40.

I shaded with C1, C0 and C00 to mute the colours and blend them out.

I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images.

I created two ovals in neighbouring sizes from my die stash.  The larger was cut from heavyweight vellum and the smaller from white cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment and then added the Copic coloured images using either one or two layers of dimensional foam tape.  I glued the white oval to the vellum and added the the whole thing to the card background.

I framed it out using a skinny frame from my die stash and added a few sparkling clear sequins for the finishing accents.

Pretty Pink Posh - Baby Basics

Hey everyone, welcome to my blog today where I'm sure a new baby card that I made recently using some of the amazing baby products produced by Pretty Pink Posh.  I have used their Baby Words Stencil and Baby Basics stamp set to create this project but you should check out all of their other baby products too, found HERE.

The card started with a white A2 panel which I ink blended softly with Salvaged Patina, Cracked Pistachio and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Inks.  I then layered the Baby Words Stencil over the  panel and I used TCW Light & Fluffy Modelling Paste through the stencil.  This stuff is amazing and gives great and fluffy dimension just as the name suggests!  I carefully removed the stencil and set the panel aside to dry.

Meanwhile I stamped the images from Baby Basics.  For the BABY letter blocks I stamped and heat embossed in white on to a pale blue cardstock  With the other images I stamped in a light blue ink and then Copic coloured with the following combinations:-

Pale Blue - B000, B0000, C1, C0, C00
Pink - RV10, RV0000, C1, C0, C00
Yellow - Y00, Y0000, C1, C0, C00

I also added BG11 to deepen the colour on the BABY blocks.

I used the coordinating Baby Basics Die to die cut the images which I then backed with foam tape and arranged on the now dry stencilled background.

I stamped the sentiment on a sentiment strip and added with foam tape and the final touches were to frame it out using a skinny frame from my stash and adhering the whole thing to a card base and then just a few sparkling clear sequins were glued in place.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, hope you enjoyed the card!

Hello Bluebird Stamps - Baby Card

I thought I'd share this baby card with my followers which I made for personal use and was created using Hello Bluebird Stamps products.  Unfortunately this Sweet Dreams stamp set is now sold out and discontinued, only the coordinating die is available in their blowout sale.  You can find the products here.

I started with a white A2 panel of cardstock which I ink blended using Cerulean ink by The Stamp Market and I die cut using Hello Bluebird's 'Starry Sky Die' which is in stock!  I glued this panel to a sparkling white panel of cardstock and then to the card base.

I stamped the images from Sweet Dreams in black ink and coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:-

Fox - E37, E35, E33, E11, E01, C3, C1, C00
Koala - T5, T3, T1, T0
Lion - E79, E84, Y28, Y26, YR20, E000
Clouds - B91, C0, C00
Blush - R22, R21, R00

I highlighted with a white gel pen and glazed their noses in black then die cut using the companion dies.  Each animal was glued to a cloud and then backed with foam tape and applied to the background.

To complete the project, I stamped the sentiments and applied those with more foam tape and then I grabbed a frame die from my stash and die cut the simple white frame and applied with dimensional tape which nicely finished off this sweet scene.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, I'll be back soon with something brand new.

My Favorite Things - March Vault Release Spotlight

Today at My Favorite Things we're spotlighting yesterday's Vault Release which you can now buy.  Many of you will recognise the dies I worked with to make the card I'm sharing today.  Here's what I've used:-

Welcome Baby (sentiment)
A2 Stitched Rectangles Stax Set 2 Die-namics
Rainbow Love 6 x 6 Paper Pad
Pretty In Plaid 6 x 6 Paper Pad

This is an A2 card.  I created a white A2 panel and over this I layered a panel of Poppin' Pink cardstock that was trimmed 1/8 inch smaller than A2.  I then used the Stax Die-namics to create the white panel and which gave it a faux stitched edge.

I ink blended this panel softly using Spun Sugar Distress Ink.  I glued the layers together and then popped it in my Misti and double stamped the sentiment using Poppin' Pink ink by MFT.

I used MFT's cardstock and patterned papers from the two paper pads listed above to die cut all of the baby clothes.  I assembled the pieces, backed them with foam tape and after glueing the washing lines in place I applied the clothing to the lines using the 'pegs' which I die cut from kraft cardstock.

I highlighted with a white gel pen and added one or two other very subtle accents and then this simple card was complete.

My Favorite Things - February Release Countdown Day Two

Welcome to countdown Day 2 for the February 27th new release from My Favorite Things.  I have a baby card to share with you today and here are the products that I used to make this card:-

I created a slimline panel of white cardstock and ink blended softly with Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks.  I splattered the background with Perfect Pearls loosened with a drop of water and adhered this panel to my card base.

I created to white grassy edges for the bottom of the card.  I stamped blooms from the stamp set and then adhered them to the card's background, the top layer was applied with foam tape.

The images from the new stamp set were stamped with Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and I coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:-

BABY balloons - C3, C1, C0, C00, RV000, BV00
Clouds - C3, C1, C00, RV000
Bunnies - E31, W4l, W3, W1, W00, C3, C1, C00
Blushes - R22, R21, R00
Flowers in the Grass - RV00, BV000, BV0000

Images were die cut and applied with foam tape.

I highlighted the images with a white gel pen then stamped the sentiment on a strip and applied with foam tape and lastly I added clear sequins as pretty accents.
