Pink & Main - April Release

Welcome to my blog on this April release day for Pink & Main.  I though some of you may like to read the details for how this card came together and what I used and so here is a quick write up.  Here are links to the products that I used:-

To kick things off I grabbed a white panel of sturdy white cardstock and I used metallic silvery/grey ink randomly stamp three of the mini images that form part of the Good Story stamp set into a wallpaper backdrop.

I die cut the big Bow Paperclip twice.  Once from my sturdy white cardstock and again from mirror silver cardstock and I glued them together.  The white die cut nicely reinforces the paperclip.  I also die cut the bow parts from pink and white cardstock.  I glued the pink part to the top of the paperclip and then glued the white outline piece over the top but I only added glue close to the centre so that the white outline floats above the pink.

The next step was die cut two note pages using the Note Pages Dies.  I ink blended them in pink and the other in blue and used coloured pen to add a margin to each.  I added some distress splashes using Oxide Inks mixed/loosened with a little Solar Spray in toning colours.  I backed each note with foam tape and arranged them overhanging the edges of the A2 background panel but I did this with an A6 envelope behind the panel so that I could be sure it would fit in that envelope.

I stamped the images and sentiment I'd be needing from Good Story.  I coloured the images with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.  I die cut the images and added a little bit of glitter to the moon in the one image.  These were backed with more foam tape and added at playful angles to the note pages and the sentiment strip was similarly added to the side.

Last but not least I reached for blue Nuvo Drops and added them in three areas and once those were dry I applied the whole decorative panel to my prepared card base and this project was complete!

I appreciate you stopping by and hope you enjoyed the card.
