Alex Syberia Designs - New Release Instagram Hop

Thank you for joining me on my blog today where I have the details for this new card for Alex Syberia Designs which I'm featuring on the Instagram hop today showcasing the new release and with the design team and guests participating.  Join the hop by visiting my Instagram post for this card found here.

I created this card by starting with the layered cardstock mats.  I selected some patterned cardstock from my stash and used that to inform the colours for the whole card.  I matted up the patterned panel to a slightly larger dark green panel and this in turn was glued to an A6 card base and you can see a little white around the the outside behind the green.  I used the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set  to create the feature panel which I ink blended with a little Blush ink by The Stamp Market.  I glued this to the other mats.

Choosing toning cardstock colours, I die cut the different components of the new 'Whimsy Blooms Bouquet Die Set'.  I assembled the flowers and then gathered the stems together and glued them together at the bottom.  I added glue in a few areas to the back of the bouquet and adhered the whole bunch to the blended background.  I die cut the bow from kraft cardstock and adhered it right where all the stems come together.

To finish the card I used the Friend Die to create the main part of the sentiment, die cutting white and gold cardstock and then adhering in position.  I then chose the 'Happy Birthday To You' sentiment phrase from the Celebration Sentiments and this was added with foam tape to keep up with the dimension on this card.  Anytime you need to build a bouquet this new die set has you covered!
