Christmas Gift Tags - Purple Onion Designs

Hello there!  I have some sweet little gift tags today featuring stamps illustrated by Stacey Yacula for Purple Onion Designs.

To create the actual tags for this project I used Stitched Ornaments by Pretty Pink Posh.  I die cut the tags from white cardstock and the 'metal' piece at the top that holds the string was die cut from glittered silver cardstock.

I ink blended each tag using Distress Oxide Ink in Spun Sugar - fading it away to nothing to represent snow.  I then adhered the silver glittered cardstock die cuts to the actual tag and set these to one side for a few minutes.

These tags are pretty small and so I chose some mini images from the Stacey Yacula collections.  The bird and tree are from Winter Wishes, the fence and candy canes from Snowflake Grove.  All images were stamped using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil on Bristol Smooth cardstock.  They were watercolour painted using Kuretake Zigs in Orange, Warm Gray 2, Beige, Gray, Carmine Red, Light Pink and Haze Blue.  Images were then fussy cut and applied to the tags with dimensional foam tape.

To embellish I applied white Nuvo drops all over for snowfall, I die cut some snowflakes from a Simon Says Stamp die and glued one on to each tag and finally I glittered up several points with Stickles glitter in Crystal.  Bakers twine was threaded through the top of each ornament tag and the project was complete!

Are you making your own gift tags this year?

Happy crafting!
