Now to the details on my card today ....

My card uses the brand new Wild Rose stamp set and coordinating dies together with the new Moonflower cardstock and previously released Weaving Plate die.

I used the Weaving Plate die to die cut an A2 panel of the very beautiful new Moonflower cardstock.  I backed this panel with white craft foam and glued it to a larger white card base and I set that to one side.

I stamped the floral images, coloured with Copic markers, splashed on Simon's Pawsitively Perfect White Splatter Medium then die cut using the coordinating die set.

Each image was backed with dimensional foam tape and adhered to the Moonflower panel allowing the petals and leaves to overhang the edges but not to exceed the edges of the card base so that it isn't too vulnerable when mailed out!

To complete this sympathy card, I chose a sentiment from the Wild Rose stamp set, stamped and die cut the image and floated it above the roses with tiny pieces of dimensional foam tape in a single or double layer depending on what was behind it.  I also grabbed some gold glitter Stickles and dotted it into the centre of the open flowers as a final touch.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and don't forget to comment to be in the running for one of those $25 coupons.  Have a wonderful day!

  7. Your card is beautiful, the new "Wild Rose" stamp set is beautiful, Your coloring skills did the stamp set proud. Sympathy cards are my least favorite cards to make, I know when one is needed someone has just lost someone special to them. This stamp set lends itself perfectly for a Sympathy card and it would be an equally stunning birthday card, Mother's Day card or any occasion where a beautiful floral card to be the focal point. The fact that the flowers on your card were beautifully colored in my favorite color only made it more stunning. Thanks for sharing.

  42. This is a beautiful card. I love the wild roses. Also, in your sequin tray I noticed some purple flowers that may be sequins or paper flowers. I love those. Who makes them and are they indeed sequins? [Bunny]

    1. Hello Bunny! I have had those flower embellishments for so many years I don't recall exactly where I got them from however I do know that thetonstamps.com has floral embellishments which I have purchased in the past. I don't see these ones but you may just find something you love. I also just Googled 'purple flower sequins' and options came up. Again, not the exact ones but I think you'll find something. Etsy sellers are a good source. I hope that helps!
